QUOTE(usermode @ May 26 2012, 11:22 AM) i think it;s not because of ur plants, but because u transfer the shrimp to ur bucket. is the bucket water are the same water from ur tank? +1 is it chlorine? Added on May 26, 2012, 11:36 amgot a question to the CO2 solenoid valve users. does your unit feel hot after continuous usage maybe 5-6 hours? can you still touch the metal part no problem? or cannot touch due to very hot? does it hot until the co2 tank also feel warm (warm not very hot until burn hand type la..) stainless steel + the mesh is finer type... so tats why more expensive. but since we only cover a small area, should be easier to manage the cost

advisable to put in vinegar + water to soak the DW? maybe can speed things up.
soaking will keep the DW water logged and help the yellow tannin to leak out.... |

why not draw line before cutting? a bit crooked also ok what... janji dun more than 10 degrees can liao. make some indent like [ ^ ] at the sides so the pvc will not fall into the aquarium then you will have a good product liao.
cover at the sides can use the PVC cover. they have it. saw it in half and all good. note: it is really difficult to get a straight cut on pvc pipes. so a bit senget is ok. dun worry too much about it. btw, my java moss are getting brown... why ah? water quality issue? 27c here.... or too bright? i got co2 tank injection here... any ideas? |

DW will leach tannin causing the water to be yellow for some time (days or months)
