I don't think it is possible to dual wield for wizards

you need crit chance for critical mass to refresh cooldown of your that crystalize thing, and life on hit.

meelee wizard needs crit chance, crit damage increaase, critical mass,
veeery fun to play. but veeery hard in later modes of inferno.
the price of gear crazylah...
the fairest prices that i've found so far are in hardcore mode.
where people dont sell for stupid prices and the market actually has good affordable items. (affordable meaning u can buy them with normal play through at your level)

Tried it. Can clear act 1 with it. Act 2 mobs can, elites very hard cause my gear not good enough.

Important stats are IAS,Crit chance and Life on hit. And maybe AP on crit. Meteor is the most important skill cause the DOT effect refreshes cooldowns really fast.

tried melee wiz, just dun go well... maybe my item sux

I been playing melee since inferno, tanking almost act 1

Here the combo
MOuse left : Spectral blade - deep cut
MOuse RIght : Meteor - reduce AP
1 - Diamond SKin - Increase absorb
2- FrostNova - Reduce Cooldown
3 - Hydra - Poison
4 - Energy Armor - Increase All Res

Passive
1. Critical mass
2. Astral
3. Reduce cooldown

See mobs/boss, cast diamond skin, run up, hold right click, spam inbetween frost nova or diamond skin whenever possible.

Stat to look out
At least 25% Critical Chance
At least 600 HP per hit
At least 15 AP gain per critical hit to ensure continuous stream of meteor
At least 20k hp, 15k dps, 600 all res and 6000 armor.

You wont be killing every elite or boss, but most are managable, need lot of button spamming and microing depending on bosses

Any tips to survive inferno? Cannot get pass spider cave of act 1. Playing inferno, really have to skip goldies and blues that you cannot kill?

With this build(blizard+venom) basically kite like mad, die like mad also.

With the amount of money that i have, AH is not really an option also.

U are using force armor right? With that kinda hp it should work. Maybe get abit more dmg I suppose.

In what way you can't survive? Your stats seem fine for act 1 tbh. Could do with abit more dmg but it's actually pretty fine

The real problem here is meeting those extra health, molten, invulnerable minions, shielded and mortar mobs. When i see that = kiss floor.

And kiting is taking a lot of time. I mean a lot a lot of time. What is the best way to increase my dmg as of now? Very difficult for me to get it up to that level also. And that is also with assistance of magic weapon.

Some affixes are just retarded, like invul minions, would suggest to just skip those.

In regards to dmg, generally improving weapon is the easist way to increase dmg.

Roughly speaking:

((((Weapon Avg Dmg + Other avg dmg) * Int multiplier) * skill increases ) * Total attacks per second) * (1 + (crit chance * crit dmg).

If you don't use signature spell, attspeed may not increase ur real dmg though

I have a pain in the spider cave too
You can try the melee built if you want, good against the above beside fire chain and frozen/arcane. But you may need a different set of item from what you may have now as a kiting wizard.

Another advice is, try park the elite/blue if you really cant go pass them. THe old words say, if you cant beat them, avoid them

Effective way to park is DS and FN

i advise you melee wiz is good for normal,NM,Hell only. Inferno you can't do that until you have super uber equip.
1) use spectral 8% on cri HP leech
2) go for crit and speed attack gears.
3) equip a emerald gem on your weap socket

you'll bash all easily, use diamond rune no.1

look forward for anyone's view on this, btw im lvl 60 act 3-4 inferno wiz
