Also read the test drive review of the new Ford Focus here http://www.kensomuse.com/the-new-ford-focu...ied-and-tested/.
One of the car that falls under my radar is this Ford Focus but decided to go for 408 as I foresee that the price will not fall within my budget. The spec is impressive (especially on the safety features) but most of the goodies such as Active City Stop, Blind Spot Information System and most importantly for me, cruise control, is only available on Plus variant. Even some of the features which are available on 408 2.0 such as auto headlamp and wiper is not being made available on standard spec.
From the estimated selling price of this Focus, I would say I'm satisfied with my choice eventhough the design of this Focus makes meĀ
The Focus is absolutely a great car with excellent handling. Saw it 1st in OZ. must say it's a very pretty car. However it's rather compact, felt a little tight and clusterfobic on the drivers side due to the large centre console. Gadget guys will love this panel. Not much back seat space too. Waited 7 months and when Sime Darby dropped the TDCI for Malaysia,I lost interest. Ladies will love this car for it's size and compactness. Between the 408t and FF TDCI ( if it had come to Malaysia ) it would have been a very hard choice for me.
Always wanted a turbo deisel, but the FF is too compact. Our Prince 1.6t puts out decent power( no comparison to the TDCIs torque), but the interior is spacious and comfortable. In a way glad the FF TDCI is absent in Malaysia, was able to make my choice!
