The price is dependent on the tank construction material (i.e. FRP or vacuum moulding polymer tank) and the tank size ( 30 l/m, 33 l/m, 35 l/m or 38 l/m) From what I can recall, I think it ranges from below 1k up to 2.1k

If not mistaken, the media should be Silica sand and Zeolite media

Correct me if I am wrong. I think Delcol water filter has the active carbon in its system. I am referring to the outdoor POE unit.

Carbon is used to remove chlorine, smell and taste.
Manganese Greensand is used to reduce iron level which causes rust smell and yellowish colour in tap water.
Zeolite is used to reduce the hardness of the water.

You should not remove the chlorine from the main if you have a storage tank in the house. This is because the tank stores water for many days and it is going to become paradise for bacterial without chlorine.
You should install the chlorine filter right before the water comes out from the water tap in the kitchen.

normally those water filter can put up to 5-6 different sand....seldom we put zeolite inside...

Use the puregen UF2500, personally i have use diamond water filter before. Cost me about RM 2,800, starting use feel ok. However later you can see the indoor drinking filter the filter is yellowish a bit. Inside i also using diamond watre filter. It is because i am diamond dealer before. Why like that, it is because diamond master filter micro is 10 micro but UF2500 is 0.01 micro. So who is cleaner of couse UF 2500. However the filter will more dirty so is easy to stuck. How to solve it? The filter will auto clean every 3 or 6 hour. It either use battery or connect to auto gate system. Of course autogate is more convenient no need change battery after it flat. Auto flush just normal wash, you still need to manual wash every month, just turn on the switch only.

So what is the price. IS only RM 1,400 with installation and the auto system. Before using this product still wanted install diamond master filter. After use this product and love it so much. No only save cost but also can filter the dirt. My father is the contractor, and we are selling the filter as well. Frankly speaking don;t try the micro 10 filter or the sand. Compare to puregen UF2500, is a big different.

If you want to order can PM me? I will call you soon.

you have a good point there.

So, since storage tank water can contain bacteria without chlorine, then is it OK if we only wash and bath using it? And drinking water comes separately direct from mains to another filter in kitchen just for drinking only.

I got a UF filter with auto backwash at RM1,500. It is slim, and flow rate very good. I was concerned about the flow rate, but after installing, so far so good. 5 months ady, and the filter is set to self clean at midnite daily.

My brother the one who use their service and then recommend me. U can go visit the website www.waterexpress.com.my. The name of the boss is Edison.

My view is that you don't really need to auto back wash daily or even need to pay for the auto back wash feature. Unless the water supply is not treated before hand or the filter system itself is not efficient. There is lots of water wastage in the back washing process.
I would prefer the manual back wash in which only back wash when needed. You could direct the back washing water for watering of your plants & lawn.

I have learnt a lot about POE from this thread. Ty.

So, conclusion is if have water tank prefer to not have POE with active carbon because it will remove all the chlorine.

Conclusion also I would prefer to have a manual backwash so there is no water wastage. Just take a couple of minutes of your time right? but you can save many liters of water!!

In conclusion, any good after service company for this requirement that you would recommend?

The POE filters does not really requires much after sales service. For the manual backwash type, it should be trouble free. Just need to manual backwash when the water flow is low.

for POE head, is that necessary to change to Stainless steel instead of use Febra (original) type?
IF, the Febra head KO, than only change tp stainless steel is that OK?
