But this 3M is size so small able to filter our malaysia water? It looks interesting.
How is the warranty for its casing and filter?
I understand that those water filter is not expensive things, probably is below 1k and there are many brands outside. But how good is their material quality always a doubt.
Anyway, how is GE performance? It uses sand filter.
Any difference using steel and those fiber type?

Is not about size, is about material used and build quality.

Here's mine. Drinkstar for my JB house. About $1.8k RM for outdoor (shown below) + indoor filter + hot/cold water dispenser.  Also washed my water tank (paid $50 RM) which also had sand and rust in it after reading the recommendation here. I quite like it except for the PVC piping from the main tap outside to this unit, as I'm afraid PVC piping may crack.

At least the installer or metal valve for you. Pvc battle when exposed to sun light for long will leak.

Pvc pipe won't crack so easy of it left untouched.

With that price I can get 3m outdoor set + 2set of cartridges enough to last me minimal 3yeaes. And footprint are small with better filtering.

Ok, at first you said:
And when i asked, you throw tantrum and replied with this (maybe you felt frustrated after knowing that i would not be your potential customer)
It's kinda stupid, don't you think so? ☺

My mom house been using membrane filters, not sure if its 0.01, remember is using hollow fiber. The first 2 years we had it chemical wash annually, but 3rd years onward the maintenance company didn't call us, and we lost their contact number. Didn't do any chemical wash since then. think is almost 6th year now. She just do back wash every week, and water from backwash use for carwash.

I find the water pressure are better than previous the sand filter that used fiber casing.
Hope this help.

BTW, i don't sell, Don't PM me for price smile.gif

This looks good as a pre-filter for sand or membrane. Do you use this?

Installed about two weeks, so far so good. Can't comment much. Incoming water is clean, pressure is good. Did back wash few time.

Ahh I see. In that case, would you say the new membrane filter is now better than sand? Mind sharing the exact model and brand of the multipore membrane you’re selling? I’m surveying on outdoor water filter for a landed house. Appreciate your feeeback. Thanks!

Secure backwash is cheaper alternative and is good. Alternative 3m also good.
