sounds pretty good.  price must be at least 3M's range.

their outdoor unit Mach has twin tank, and does not need backwash    (10 years warranty)
indoor unit has Macguard, K2, and K5

how often does the auto-backwash occur? 2x a day?
if too often then the cost of backwashing will be high....

water is water, never try to change or add additives. What we want is clean water that suitable to drinks by removing contaminants only.

Thanks for sharing. I agree on the membrane being a wear and tear item, which is fine, I'd be worried if it lasts forever. Backwash every week is alright for me.

Ok the water leaking issue is rather serious, I'll need to observe. Lately this Diamond master filter not that popular anymore, so don't see it at new houses. I guess need to visit "older" neighborhoods.

As an alternative, what do you recommend? Sand/media filters... I'm skeptical on most since it filters out chlorine, with the exception of Waterco & Kinetico. I only want to filter out chlorine @ POU. Plus and run the risk of the sand going in the house's piping when the media wears down. Kinetico don't have this issue I think, but the prices starts at RM2.8k 

hi want to asked what is the different diamond outdoor 10micron and those external filter 0.01 micron. inside home got espring. necessary to use 0.01 micron or the 10micron is nothing to filter rather don’t install. diamond can maintenance ourself and the 0.01 micron need to change filter every 2year.

Will need a water filter  recommendation at POE for my double storey house. Need cleaner water and not sacrificing the water preassure and easy maintenance. Anyone have any water filter to recommend?
