the second thing, they say if during the time i took back the machine and i cause more damage to the 'damaged' key they will not be responsible and i cant claim under warranty anymore!

anyhows, after alot of hesitation, i decided to let them hang on to the machine until the replacement part come & they fix it...so i patiently waited almost 3 weeks....

when i don't get any call from them, i decided to check with their CS on the phone...to my horror...they say there's no parts coming in, and my case has been marked as 'CN' or Credit Note...meaning they will either replace a new machine for me or refund me the money...the CS guy actually asked me why no one from Asus call to get my details!!!

so that's 4 weeks waiting for nothing!!! so then i took a snapshot of the purchase receipt and email to them (as requested) for process..i asked them so which its gonna be, 1-to-1 replacement or refund and he said he have no idea....

after i email the receipt they process it and ask me to check back after 2-3 days for status...i call again after 2 days and they confirm receive my email and is now undergoing CN process (still dunno if i'm getting a replacement or refund) and the waiting period? another 1 month (normally)...i made a lot of fuss and was scolding the CS on the phone...and he promise to put in an urgent request...urgent meaning 3 weeks  doh.gif

i really dun understand why it takes so long to get me a replacement unit...if there's no new stock in whole of Malaysia, they can easily order from Taiwan or rest of the world...even delivery from Antarctica wont take this long...

anyways...its been almost 3 weeks since they told me its been process....given the fact this week was Raya week...i will give them another week before checking my status...

originally thought to be damn sad cos 1 day 'new' machine and its been sitting in the service centre for 6 weeks and yet need to wait another 3+ weeks...but after reading the thread here, it seems i'm considered lucky if i can get back anything from Asus in 2 months.

i've been using Toshiba notebooks for close to 10 years...am really happy with build quality of Toshiba cos i only remember visiting their service center 2 or 3 times...and was extremely happy with their customer service...i bought the Asus ultrabook cos i couldn't wait for the new Toshiba Z930...but now......the Z930 is out and i'm still using my old notebook...

before reading this thread, i still hope that Asus will replace the notebook for me and not refund me cos i'm after the machine, not money...but now...all hope is lost...i now wish they will refund me money so i can buy different brand of notebook....and stay the hell away from Asus..

if i'm still getting crap reply from them by end of next week, i will officially write to Asus HQ in Taiwan and send them a link to this thread...and another there is....i might even write to complain to gomen (whichever ministry department relevant)

added: maybe some of u guys would like to fill up this survey form from >>ASUS<<

very sad to hear that especially when it happened on a NEW machine. you should go there and ask them to do a one-to-one replacement for you. you must have a very good temper to be able to endure all the shits that asus thrown at you. so let's boycott asus !

i couldn't tahan and had a few minutes during lunch so i called them today to check on my status...

the first question the CS asked "did anyone call you to update you on status??"....dunno why they like to ask stupid questions...if someone did call & give me update, i wouldn't be calling right??

anyways, on 14th Aug 2012, they told me to wait 2-3 weeks for status...when i call today (27th Aug) the CS say "its only been 1 week so no status yet"...well...i politely ask her to check her calender again & count the number of weeks since 14th Aug...then she said..oh yea, its been 2 weeks and end of this week will be the 3rd...

now she promise to follow-up on my case file and get back to me as to when i can get back my refund/replacement within 24-48 hours...

i shall wait for another 48hrs and see if they ever call me...

actually, if go thru this thread page by page...i can see alot of similar case...send machine in for repair/warranty claim, after weeks & weeks of waiting they give back the machine, with the repair unattended to or the problem was not resolved at all....really makes me scared and disappointed with Asus/Asus service centre....this is supposedly one of the most reliable brand

a friend of mine in the IT peripherals line is saying many dealers are reluctant to sell Asus products cos the warranty/repair claim is very bad...

But asus product really nice.. If you are lucky to get a non problematic one.. haizz...

48hrs passed, no call from Asus....

i called up, and to cut things short, they don't have an update and ask me to wait another 24hrs for a status update...

same promise "i will escalate your request bla bla bla...."

i had no choice but to taruk the CS kaw kaw mad.gif mad.gif mad.gif mad.gif ...everytime i call its another 24 or 48hours...i don't know how many more of this hours i got to wait...

same time tomorrow, if no call, i will send an email directly to Asus HQ..

I believe everyone should be informed about this matter to avoid more people getting frustrations... if you insist on Asus laptops, then bear with the warranty. Anything spoil, just stay away from their service centre. Albeit their build is somehow better than other brands..

I wonder how they manage such bad customer service as I just bought an ASUS laptop and request 1 to 1 exchange... But they refuse to take the responsibility... Great brand, bad customer service...

not a great brand. also asus just great on desktop hardware, not a notebook.

they promise to keep me update..
changing motherboard still waiting for taiwan to reply..
i wanted full refund but they still ignore it..
waiting and waiting and waiting..
burning and burning and burning..
can we burn that asus service center or color it to red?
rm3800 omg thats so expensive T_T

it's been more than 3 months since you send your laptop to warranty and you haven't get it back?? unbelievable.

spend your hard earned money to buy a gaming laptop hoping to have entertainment but ended up with disappointment!

if you report to KPNKK, show them this thread and i'll be glad to chip in as cheated consumer by asus

I just send my transformer pad keyboard docking in but what i experience is their front desk customer service is good the main problem is the working attitude of their engineer coz they keep on delaying their work like for example when i send in, even for checking, the engineer said that today no service for notebook categories then hv to wait tmr only can check...this is very annoying where even a single checking on the product also cannot.. i really dun understand what is the engineer doing..all just wait for the monthly pay only but not doing anything? I wonder how to contact to the CEO of ASUS Malaysia... Should send a letter to him or maybe if lost the temper just send the item to his house..
