To be honest, I not get angry with extra RM400 paid. I just disappointing with the agent that he choose to earn extra RM400 and break his honesty and lose the trust to the person who trust him

Hello guys. I'm thinking of buying ASUS G551JM-DM052H I7 ROG GAMING LAPTOP/NOTEBOOK, maybe today.

Can I get some advise please? to buy or not to buy?

already read a lot of complaint about ASUS after sales services since 2012 but nowadays, ASUS seems getting better. Is it true?

i am a owner of this laptop, be frankly, this laptop cooling is no awesome, but advantage is quite silent. even in max speed 3400rpm you hardly can heard the noise, and this chasis dissipate quite effecienly, after stress test, it cpu temp come down from 93c to 53c ony need about 10 min, but harddisk still remain at high temp.

Just give you some idea on how about performance of this laptop, using less demanding game: dota 2 , set to 1920x1080, set every effect to max, the max temp of gpu and cpu hit around 80+, average at 70+, at 60 fps above. can play smoothly, wifi card so so only, some time will drop itself.(but havent make sure is it the wifi card problem or my router problem since my router is very old already)

Lets put it this way. I got three units of Asus laptop with charger problems.

The universal charger models I have in stock does not have a pin head that matches the Asus models exactly. A little nudge stops the charging.

And you can't buy those chargers from Asus because.... Yep.

They Don't Have Stock!

Seriously, Asus is the only manufacturer that I pin a disclaimer on. If it weren't for the fact that people are still looking to buy Asus in the area I am operating in, I would have stopped selling it a long time ago.

3 vivobook. Had to give the not so fit charger at a discount, ridiculous to think you don't stock up charger and you can't expect the customer to wait months to get them.

i just went to low yat plaza to find for latest brand with laptop price around rm1600-rm1800 last week.after all i went to one branch with asus banner and they promote asus model x453m and im kinda interested with the specs. without noticing i just buy this laptop worth RM1830(after discount),warranty 2 years and need 1 hour to settings the laptop. so i went to another branch also with asus banner and the seller said the price only rm1499. so i'm ok with that eventhough feel like cheated. i take laptop and back to home and found out the price actually just around rm1000-1200. so frustrated buying laptop at low yat plaza.

so far the performance was good until this evening the display just blur and take long time loading.i try restart but still same. i decided to go back the branch that i bought tomorrow and what should i do/ask? can i ask to refund the money/laptop? thanks for helping.

Nowadays we got many ways to survey and check the daily prices of all laptop. It would be a shame for us if we don't do that prior buying a laptop anywhere. It is embarrassing that someone just post here and saying he/she been cheated for buying a laptop that supposed to be cheaper. Since you (he/she) can post here why don't you spend 10 min to check around lowyat.net to get the latest price for the laptop you going to buy. There is only one word I can say for those buyer who bought expensive laptops and after that keep complaining here..."STUPID".

may i know who? where's your proof? if it was from my suggestion from me.. should he/she ask for confirmation. having any doubt with pricing can directly pm for certain product. still few model not available.. garage sales.. so, we might quote the forumer to check garage sales and pm for certain seller.

chill bro.. nowadays alot refurbished units out there... last time mostly dell DFO now every big brand oso got dfo in the market de... n there r unethical seller who dun take responsibility over the products especially brand like asus, msi n lenovo... those lousy warranty service 1

I don't think he is targeting you.
Basically what he is saying is that buyers who complain about manufacturers/ sellers kinda deserve it because it is up to them to do their own research (giving on to really cheap products or marketing gimmicks). What more if they have the time to complain, they are better off using the time for their research before buying.

So yea, he just made a very general statement here which I share the same sentiment as him.

and i wonder why he tag me if he intend to make it generalized.. people might misunderstood about me and of coz.. i try to look different perspective.. but when Adin mention "Since you can post here why don't you spend 10 min to check around lowyat.net to get the latest price".. i'm used to ignore these kind of thing. but if something that can make people misunderstood about me and have potential by give bad impression towards me. i somehow need to defend myself too.

actually from what i understand in terms of context is that he quote you in agreement with you (thus quoting you).
as for the "you", he is saying it in a general sense (speaking from a first person point of view to a second person).

that is what i get from my comprehension of his post.
so yea, i don't think he have any malicious intent on his part quoting you at all.
