QUOTE(maskot @ May 17 2007, 12:36 AM) during the interview when the person ask You must first get to know your Strength and Weakness. The thing with working life is that we only use a bit of knowledge from our studies. Most of the skills that are used are like communication, analytical and other skills that is not coming from any text books. Therefore, you should sit down and write down your non-technical skills and other professional values and think how to relate them to what you are going to do for the company once you are hired."y u want to do something different fro what u have studied?" or sumting like that..what should be the appropriate asnwer?? besides want to gain knowledge..what else... |

QUOTE(maskot @ May 17 2007, 12:36 AM) got a problem.. Well there can be several reasons why you want to branch out from something you have studied. To be frank, this question is totally based on your own thinking, how can you expect us to tell you why you want to branch out of your own line. If you are hoping that we can give you good answers for a question like that, wouldn't that mean that you have no idea yourself as to why you want to move out of the IT line?im taking degree in IT .. but currently looking 4 job which is not towards IT like customer service and stuff the problem is.. during the interview when the person ask "y u want to do something different fro what u have studied?" or sumting like that..what should be the appropriate asnwer?? besides want to gain knowledge..what else... |

I've gone through a second interview at a bank but that was for a position of management trainee. The 2nd interview was held right after the 1st interview and it was basically asking lots of questions on in a situation what would you do, or in a tight deadline what would you have done, etc..etc...
Final interview was a team assessment based type of activity where you work individually and as a team as well. |

Do you guys fold up your sleeves during interview, assuming that you are wearing long sleeve shirt?
Is it alright for me to do that? |

I try not to fold my sleeves up if ever I am in an interview unless they ask you to perform some sort of activity or work which requires you to move your hands about so folding up your sleeve might improve your productivity. When folding your sleeve, make sure that you fold it nicely. Some people might disapprove of it but some might not. Is it alright for me to do that? (assume that was a big company and your call can only pick up by receiption there) You can call back, just call the HR department and inquire about your interview status. Try not to call your interviewer as your interviewer might not be the right person or may not have enough details. |

Disapprove as in they will tell you or you lose some points because of folding up the sleeves..? |

QUOTE(goliath @ Jun 20 2007, 01:59 PM) Well some might see it as a sign of unkempt, so you might lose point there. More so if you are wearing a tie. Remember, long sleeves is to put a status of "smarter" looking. They might consider that you are more onto the "buruh" worker side. But thats just a theory. Best if you keep your sleeves down. Or, look around at the office to see how is their working environment. If all of them have their sleeves down. You will do best to follow their example. If they are all wearing t-shirt, I dont think it will be much of a problem to have your sleeves folded up |
