Hi guys, so I applied for a job in a Malaysia based MNC company. I did have a short summary of my FYP project in my resume and they emailed me, asking for a copy of my FYP report.

I am not sure whether to share my FYP report with them or not because it is not really related to the job that I applied. Take note that at this point, they haven't set me for an interview or whatsoever, meaning there are chances that they wont even call me for an interview after I share my FYP with them.

Anyone ever experienced this? Did you guys share your FYP?

You wrote a summary of it in your resume, if you're not willing to show it why put it in there? hmm.gif

Yeah I get what you mean by they probably wouldn't call you back but if you really did a good job on your fyp and proud to add that to your resume, why are you worried about it? Unless we're talking about group breaking research, that's a different story. They probably are interested in you and doing this just to check whether you're just all talk or really can prove what you wrote in your resume.

I kinda went through the same thing but it was a final stage interview and the partners wanted to see some my work, pass it to them after the interview and got an offer in like 3 days.

All the best!

I am attending an interview soon and the following are some documents requested by the company (informed through email in advance), which I am reluctant to provide at the moment, as I am not yet an employee to the company, but only an interview candidate

1. photocopy of identification card - I can show original copy on the spot if they doubt my identity.

2. photocopy of pay slip (latest 3 months) - this sounds quite ridiculous to me

3. 2 pieces of passport-sized photo - do HR really need candidates' photo, if that's the case, I guess the pile of candidates' photo will be more than the staffs'...

If the above are requested when I appear for the interview,I will inform that the required docs will be provided if I were employed by the company. However, for this round, they requested in advance of the interview, so if I do not wish to comply 1-3, does it mean I have to give up the opportunity or just pretend to forget to bring those required docs on that interview day? 😁

Any advise is much appreciated.

This depends on how you handle the HR liaison. Typically I will tell them that I will furnish these details at the later stages of the interview process

Well, another important thing is being natural.
I'll just make appropriate preparation and answer whatever I know during the interview.

When you perform unnaturally, it gives the interviewer a feeling that you're nervous and not confident.
*
True, I agree with that. Some candidates tend to memorize things and that makes them look awkward.

hey guys, i was wondering if per say you've been jobless for some time and after applying left and right you secured a job at company A.

After 1 to 2 weeks at your new job at Company A, an IV call up came, what should you do?

-Attend the IV?
-Reject and be happy what you got/doing at Company A

Bear in mind what you get from company A is ok BUT it does come along with something that you wish could be different. (could be the distance of the work place/salary/benefits etc)

For me no harm to just attend the IV for the potential chance of getting better job.

Before the interview
Regardless of the type of interview you're preparing for, doing plenty of research and planning is key. Generally, you should:

Consider how you'll explain problematic aspects of your career, such as gaps in your work history.
Identify the skills, interests and experiences that the organisation is looking for by looking at its website and social media channels.
Plan your journey in advance, aiming to arrive ten minutes before your interview is scheduled and ideally completing a 'dry run' beforehand.
Prepare answers to common interview questions, as well as your own questions to ask at the interview.
Find out about the people who'll interview you.
Research the issues, trends and opportunities affecting the organisation and the wider job sector.
On the night before your interview, avoid alcohol, prepare your outfit and get plenty of sleep.
