attended a interview today and might i say its complete opposite of what i expected.started with the usual stuff then the gm(he was the one conducted the session today)said this will be a reverse of a normal interview. he did all the talking, explaining the whole lot, the whole story, occasional brief comments, interactions from me, and then its up to the candidates to contact the company back to arrange 2nd interview if they still want to pursue that job. i think the 2nd one is where the real interview begins...where this time the candidates is expected to deliver their side of the whole lot. in a sense it is a stage's interview just done in a different way.so what you guys think??can share any insight or experience with similair interview calls before? im still interested in the job tho, since am jobless right now and would grab what ever comes

QUOTE(faceless @ Feb 17 2012, 10:51 AM) I think HR is not present so the GM had to do the interview. mm im not that sure about their hr dept but from they way the gm spoke and handled the session i think he wants to be the one selecting candidates.the guy is gm by title but also the main man running the show there, not just the managing part but the actual engineering part too.

QUOTE(ayamchicken @ Feb 25 2012, 11:56 AM) once had this kind of interview. the manager did all the talking and explaining about the jobscope. she said it's going to be a very tough job, working late and etc. she sent me home and asked me to think over it. whether i want to take the job or not. if yes, i must give a call and she will arrange a second interview with the GM. i did called telling that i am still interested and ready to face all the challenge and stress. she said she will call back to set the date. and that was the last time i heard from that company. i never called back also.. hooo well i did the same and gave the gm a call, he set up the date an time for a 2nd interview tho...im having my doubts.i mean what if im not their preferred candidate and they are just giving me this 2nd interview because i called....i my self a bit confused now.tho i will do my best at the 2nd interview and be as prepared i can be just as how i was at the 1st time lol.

hey guys, i was wondering if per say you've been jobless for some time and after applying left and right you secured a job at company A.
After 1 to 2 weeks at your new job at Company A, an IV call up came, what should you do?
-Attend the IV? -Reject and be happy what you got/doing at Company A
Bear in mind what you get from company A is ok BUT it does come along with something that you wish could be different. (could be the distance of the work place/salary/benefits etc)
