I got a lot of phone calls recently but always miss to answer it. When I searched through the internet and crawl into some database, I found the telephone number belong to the company that I've applied for the job. It's been 1~2 days since the phone call. Should I call back?
Thanks for the advice |

Yes, call back.
I got a miss call from your company. I am Irzani. It is most likely from your HR Dept. |

There is nothing to be afraid of. Once the HR talk to you they just want to set date for your interview only. There is no need for a lot of preparation as it is not the interview. Just speak naturally without stammering.

Let's say I'm into the information security jobs, is it possible to impress the interviewers by showing how I manage to :
1) Deface the company website? 2) Extracting any data from the secured database? 3) Break into the company intranet (live) Ok, I watched too much TV's but recently I've managed into penetrate some of the company websites without doing some harmful activity. But, is it the right move? or the company gonna call 999 straight away? |

If it's someone from the technical side, they probably would be impressed. But if it's someone from the HR side, then I'm not sure it's going to be well accepted. But if you still want to give it a try, maybe try bringing up the idea first during the interview, just to gauge the response. All in all it's still a risky thing to do, so it's best to get some sort of permission before doing it. QUOTE(ryosuke @ Jan 20 2012, 12:08 PM) Just got back from interview, i think i screwed up. Technical question can answer but when talk about my vision, passion thing i couldn't answer Questions about your personality and goals are really things that you need to be honest about. People who sit on interview panels are usually used to interviewing, and would have interviewed a large number of candidates, so they'll most certainly see through lies very easily. My suggestion is just be honest and be better prepared for your future interviews. |

Before this i worked as a consultant, but it was a contract job and they paid me by cheque. Then last week I went for an interview for a full time job, and yesterday they called me saying I got the job. They then requested my last three payslips, I said i don't have any because last time they pay me by cheque. But they insisted and said I should provide it by tomorrow or they will cancel their offer. What should I do now guys? |

Thanks! Other than feeling odd to see everyone in little windows, it is just another interview. The boss most likely will appear doing his own thing and not to pay any attention. This is because he prefer to let his subordinates do their work. Just dont ignore him (for any minute feel he does not matter) as you may get surprise question coming from him. |
