do u guys prefer to reveal your expectation salary when the interviewer ask direct question like What is your expectation Salary? Will you pause and rather ask them back what's their expected salary for your qualification and work the increment from that benchmark?

yes, it can.

i thought so since it's better for the interviewer to reveal their budget out base on the qualification and the work they need to have it complete end of the day. do u think it's a good idea to ask for a copy of job function first before agreeing to any salary first or make a better evaluation before accepting a job. u know malaysian culture may flip flop one.. once accepted a job, u could even be the person who need to wash the toilet every week.

Negotiate.. Just add 30% from your current salary. Then ask the interviewer how much do they want to offer.

If can negotiate between 15%-25% current increment is consider OK for me at least..

But in phone interview, what is the best practice to answer the interviewer regarding what is the company A and what did they do(assuming third party applied the job for the applicant and the applicant know nothing) ? I've read somewhere, they will feel humiliated when the interviewee didn't know anything about the company ...  hmm.gif
There is no way to cover this question. If you "tembak" worst. They dont feel humiliated if you dont know about them. The question is asked to see if you done your homework on them.

Guys, I have accepted the offer from company A and I have the offer letter with me. Is't appropriate to use that offer letter to negotiate the salary during the interview with company B?

You already accepted the offer, whats the point of going to the interview with company B?

What you can do is negotiate the salary with company B without mentioning the offer letter from A.
(you will lose the power for negotiating if the company know how much others are offering you)

Later if they call you to inform that you get the job at B but with lower salary than A, reject the offer.
I think they will ask you why. Just inform them that you are going to accept another job offer at A because of the salary.
Do this only if you are going to go to A and got nothing to lose.

If they really want you maybe they will counter offer. If not they will only tell you good luck..

Dont talk from theory. The real world is not theory. This is called unethical. If they want they can play you out as mentioned below.

Only if you know for sure company B is offering less than A.

And if company B is asking if you are exploring other opportunities.

During interview or short briefing, you suddenly realized that the job descriptions does not match your expectation. Example, Network Engineer position but it's a help desk job where it's not limited to networking but including software, server, database and etc. You were asked a lot about how to handling customers, how to deliver customer service even your expectation is to work at the back end. You've lost the interest after listening to the interviewer. After the first interview, you were asked to stay till evening for another test.

What is the best way to quit the interview without getting blacklisted? hmm.gif
