Yes if u r 1Mb user, no if u subscribed to 512kbps package.

i just upgrade my line to 1mb, my speedtest shown is 0.80mb and my downstream show as 1024, i think it is normal but why some ppl have 1.5mb and above? can i ask the technician to upgrade my speed?

As you can see my port is capped at 1024Kbps. Can i Request my port to be higher? Or i need a technician to do it. If yes, How do i get a number of a technician?

using speed test get 0.5 dl 0.17 ul.....something wrong here??

Previously using 1mb connection, with 2048kbps/512kbps (downstream/upstream).. i manage to get up to 1707kbps (213kB/s) download speed. (Super amazing, but only once in a while)

then because of the tempting super upgrade deal.. i decide to upgrade to 2mb with the expectation the download speed will get to at least 2560kbps (250kB/s).

yesterday i just upgrade my line from 1mb to 2mb, router diagnose shown is (downstream/upstream) 3072 kbps/512kbps. BUT the download speed i'm getting is sligthly LOWER- around 1600kbps (200kB/s)!!!! if the result is like this than i better stick to 1mb.

can i ask the technician to upgrade the capped port to 4096kbps? I know the speed can go higher.

For 1Mb user, normally they will be capped at at least 1024 kbps for DownStream, so u r nt being miscapped.

usually my download speed was around 160-180kb per sec and now it dropped to max 100kb per sec. anyway to fix this and i was using 1mb line

Just after few days , my upstream speed went down to 108 kbps only.

DownStream Connection Speed 2047 kbps
UpStream Connection Speed 108 kbps

Anything I could do ?

Make a report to TM..and cc to MCMC for faster response..

hope someone could help me out i got a few questions to ask,

1) i got a wireless modem model riger DB-108 i want to know is it possible for me to change the Antenna of the modem, if its possible what brand should i go for.

2) can i change my security setting from WEP to WPA...

So how's my streamyx? i'm current using streamyx combo 384kbps, RM60 per month

Hi. I really need help from you guys. I have 2 problems.

1. I registered for streamyx 4mbps. They give me RIGER wireless modem. I can use the wireless function. But i have to be exactly in front of the modem. If not, i will not get any bar. Even i stand 2 meters away from the RIGER wireless modem, i will get no coverage. My housemate upstairs of course will get no coverage at all. Why is it like that? Why TM wireless modem are so weak?

2. If i use LAN cable and wire with the modem, my connection is faster than wireless. I download rapidshare files, if using wireless i got about 40-50kbps and if using wired i got the highest of 170kbps only...

Please help me. My housemate never use the streamyx because of this...

Would like to share my situation with you guys and see if anybody can assist me solving or is there any others facing the similar situation like mine. Due to the recent promotion by Streamyx, I have upgraded my plan to 1Mb. After the upgraded, I have been facing a lot of problems and frustrations.

First problem will be frequent disconnections. At bad times, my line will be disconnected until unable to get any connection at all. Call up streamyx care line and request to reset the port, it will be okay for awhile. Line still get disconnected about half hour once during the normal times.

Second problem is inconsistent connection speed. What I mean is that for my 1Mb speed, the connection speed I would expect is at least 1Mb download speed and 500Kb upload speed. However, no matter how many speed test I have tried, the best connection I will get is 800Kb download and 400Kb upload. This is not the consistent speed I get. As the connection stays longer, the connection will be slower and at times the speed test I would get is like 60Kb download and 200Kb upload. Contacted streamyx care line and inform them about this, what they do is they will send their contractor to check. Until today, the problem still persist. By the way, why is that most of times, my upload speed is higher than my download speed? What does it meant?

Third problem is...... well.. I think I do not have the third but the above two have been giving much frustrations than I can take for another. Sometimes, I would rather use my neighbor's bandwidth because it is faster than mine. Listed below is the steps that I have taken and same problems still occur:

1. Changed phone wall socket
2. Changed to new wifi modem
3. Install DSL filter (to cut the noise)

Please............ anyone who has been facing the same problems like mine, please share your solution. Thank you in advance.

Recently Streamyx has been a PIA, I don't know why but even with a premium account on Megaupload, I still can't get maximum speed. At times it'll be max, which is 1.7Mbps (170kb/s) down speed with no fluctuation. But after few hours, it'll drop to no more than 70kb/s.

Also, the same goes to YouTube, why is the streaming so slow? It used to be really fast, but again, it slowed down recently. Is something wrong? And has Streamyx abandoned their website? Last post was October '09 and was only updated in early March. No news, no nothing.

Last month i upgrade my streamyx package from 1MB to 4MB. Technician came to my house and check whether my place supported to get 4MB. He said it is ok. I can get 4MB after 24hrs. 24hrs later, i'll check with speedtest.net. My speed still the same. Went to the TMPOINT in kelana jaya to confirm whether my application to 4MB complete. The lady said yes. Then i call the technician again asking why my speed was still the same? He told me he's already sent two report to the TM. Ask me to check again soon. Went back home still the same. I called the tech again. Didn't pick up. Called many times still no answer. I sent sms no reply. Then started to pissed off. Sent an angry sms. Then he replied me asked to check my connection again. Check then only upgrade but not 4MB. It is 3MB. Miscapped!! Will make their life hard after this. Plan to follow up again tommorow.
