Hello experts.

I would like to ask someting about speed and DSLAM. I just went to TMpoint asked to upgrade my system from 512kbps to 2Mbps.They the lady at customer service checked my home distance to DSLAM is 7.3KM. she said I cannot achieve this 2Mbps and 4Mbps connection because its too far. Then I asked for 1Mbps, she also say cannot because 1Mbps require 4km. Ok thats the theory, now I want to ask you guys regarding experience of using 1Mbps over 4km. Is it worth it?

why the upload speed is faster than the upload speed?
and the download spd is DAM SLOW!!
should i complain?

SHOULD I COMPLAIN???? or is it happen to everybody now??
i need to dload big files!! usually, i use to dload 800 mb vid just in 3 hours... but after i change the modem to uni pack wifi, it goes to take more than 1 day to dload 800 mb video.. uploading is faster, but downloading big files..it took so long than b4..

Yeah u r being miscapped at the moment

Just call 100 and tell them u're getting 2mb then they will upgrade ur speed it happened to me also.

i live in Taman Sri Juasseh, Juasseh,N. Sembilan.
i wanted t0 use Streamyx Unipack in my house.

the lady in TM point told me that for streamyx, it should be in 5km area or using ports.

but she said that ports in my area had been full since early this year. and she didn't know when the ports will be added.

what is TM doing? they should upgrade their services as soon as possible. now has already May...

Your data rate show that u are on a 1.5mbps capable line.
i have the same rate as u but i on a RM66 per months 512kb account, max dl is around 50++kbps,
however i found a way to increase the dl speed to 160++kbps by login-in using my office 1mbps account id.
there is a loophole here, with the 1mbps account id it give me the 1.5mbps line speed.
so if u able to get an 1mbps account id to use,then with ur current data rate u can achieve 1.5mbps account speed,
512kb extra then a 1mbps line.

I faced some problem here. Currently I applying for the Streamyx Cool Uni Pack. I apply it for additional line. The problem is, my house only have 1 port and currently used by other streamyx account. Is it possible I apply for a new port and wiring as well for my house as Im living in condo. And may I know how much do they charge for the wiring?

i think it normal... coz if u download outsite country server it only reach 10% from ur current speed...

i think no....i download from rapidshare before it can reach till max speed 160kb/s

well base on my exp... it also can happen... huhuhu i using streamyx 2Mbps and i get 3Mbps.... but during speed test not reach 3Mbps.... it have loses.... some time my download can come to 3xxkbps also...

but 4 u is normal k....
