Uh, there was once I tried to download something and the download speed was 160 kbps and it stays all the way.. The package that I subscribed is RM88
So, is this consider good enough for a 1Mbps package?

Is it 160 kbps OR 160 kBps ? <-- b = bit , B = Byte

If u get 160 kBps thats holla very good speed, in fact more than u should have biggrin.gif

BUT! if u get 160 kbps thats... about 10% of your default speed.

OK, about my case, (Im using RM99 package that free modem).
Its been almost 3 months now Im facing this problem. I almost give up about this.

New thing, I've tried on other PC, and even borrow my friend's modem, in the end its just the same. I called again, they said they gonna reset port or something like that, but its still the same.

TMnut always nuts.
Someone Please Enlighten Me.
Thanks.

Edit: Im will check my telephone wires, etc etc, maybe I should replace with new...

It's in KBps.. but that's like only 10% from what I subscribe.. but then again.. blah.. what can I expect.. lol..

One question.. If I were to replace a new copper wire in my house, how much does it costs? Can anyone give me a rough figure for it?

I am using RM88

DL:1Mbps
UL:512kbps

But when I entered my modem status page, its shows

DL:1Mbps
UL:300++kbps

Is this normal? Or am I undercapped?

hi there,

am really having a lot of problem wif my new pc and thus require your help here. did a check on the modem and set out below the reading:

Modem Status
Modem Status
Connection Status Connected
Us Rate (Kbps) 512
Ds Rate (Kbps) 1024
US Margin 27
DS Margin 31
Trained Modulation GDMT
LOS Errors 0
DS Line Attenuation 2
US Line Attenuation 1
Peak Cell Rate 1207 cells per sec
CRC Rx Fast 0
CRC Tx Fast 0
CRC Rx Interleaved 0
CRC Tx Interleaved 0
Path Mode Interleaved

DSL Statistics
Near End F4 Loop Back Count 0
Near End F5 Loop Back Count 0

i do believe the above reading is normal for a 1mbps subscriber, no?!

then, i ran a test at speedtest.net and guess what... flex.gif the device couldnt detect the reading for my upload speed after waiting for 20 to 30 mins. on top of that, my download speed gets higher and higher from 4++ to 8++ each time i run the test.

i tried to use tmnet speedometer but were unable to download the jre. indeed, i have problem using windows live messenger too... cry.gif

why am i having so much problems wif my new pc? can anyone solve my puzzles above? icon_question.gif icon_question.gif icon_question.gif

p/s: i also cant post any msg to this forum with the pc. why is that so? cry.gif

Few questions here for new Streamyx account:

1) Can't access Internet since the beginning from my place. The Modem's ADSL indicator is on but Internet connection indicator is off. Both the new account and modem (with router built-in) were tested at different location - they WORK! So I guess should be the line activation issue. What could be the other possiblities? Anyone having similar experience before? My home has a central splitter with two wall phone jacks (for same phone line), will this setup cause broadband failure?

2) How long it typically take to get your reported issue processed by TMNet? I've called them for 3 times over past week but they keep ask me to wait and tell me my issue will be processed by their line activation department... (i guess their line activation department need to hire more people tongue.gif) Should I call them more frequently in order to make their processing faster (say... once per day?)? coz I really need the access for some urgent stuff, which has been delayed for two weeks...

Thanks for comments :-)

Hi, i wonder am i being miscapped? I subcribed to tmnet RM77, 1mbps package, after reading the guides, i check my ZTE ZXDSL831 model, initially intrlvd for dl only show value of 416kbps, but after i loop stop and loop start the model, the intrlvd for dl show value of 2048kbps, there have been no changes in upload values. I have no values in the "fast" column for both dl and upload. Also, i notice that after loop start, i experience a decrease in local SNR margin, but increase in remote SNR margin, what does this indicate?

A check with tmnet speedometer show that i only can dl at about 80kilobits/sec, but upload speed is ok at about 380kilobits/sec. What should i do?

hm..i just wanna share strange experience with you guys. later this evening, I noticed that my internet connection speed is 1 Gbps. (I'm not joking here) usually it's states that the speed is 100 mbps. i was just like whoaa.. what happened to me? after disconnect and reconnect the speed is back to normal 100mbps.
