Hello guys, I have a different case, but I think Im miscapped too. Or maybe sengaja kena capped... T_T

here my router page:

Modem Status

Link Status Connected
Us Rate (Kbps) 384 <-- Normal upload checked OK
Ds Rate (Kbps) 1024 <-- Normal download checked OK
US Margin 28 <-- Good Margin checked OK
DS Margin 31 <-- Good Margin checked OK
Modulation MMODE
LOS Errors 0
DS Line Attenuation 34 <-- OK, I havent DC not even once before.
US Line Attenuation 26
Path Mode Interleaved
DSL Statistics

IP range I always get: 60.48.xxx.xxx

And here is my test on speedometer:

not matter what I do, I will always get 40.1kBps, thats is 30% of my speed, I even tried direct download many times and I get constant speed 40.1kBs but I NEVER GET ABOVE THAT!!! GRRR... vmad.gif

My upload also get only 13.1kBps max... in other word, all capped to 30%. T___T

I've tried to read many guides, faqs, and try out even proxy, but still cant get the speed Im suppose to have. Im pretty sure my line is okay, and my PC is clear from virus or worms.

I think they cap me at their DSLAM or something (correct me if im wrong here), I've called them many times, and nothing improve, they just say to call back in two days if I dont get my default speed.

I havent try at another PC or use another modem yet, so before I did that troublesome method, can anyone help me to pinpoint what the problem Im having with my connection? maybe I miss something, or somewhere I havent check yet...

EDIT: Im using RM99 package (Free Modem)

Uh, there was once I tried to download something and the download speed was 160 kbps and it stays all the way.. The package that I subscribed is RM88
So, is this consider good enough for a 1Mbps package?

Is it 160 kbps OR 160 kBps ? <-- b = bit , B = Byte

If u get 160 kBps thats holla very good speed, in fact more than u should have biggrin.gif

BUT! if u get 160 kbps thats... about 10% of your default speed.

OK, about my case, (Im using RM99 package that free modem).
Its been almost 3 months now Im facing this problem. I almost give up about this.

New thing, I've tried on other PC, and even borrow my friend's modem, in the end its just the same. I called again, they said they gonna reset port or something like that, but its still the same.

TMnut always nuts.
Someone Please Enlighten Me.
Thanks.

Edit: Im will check my telephone wires, etc etc, maybe I should replace with new...
