any new users got 3000kbps / 900kbps nowaday ?

They freaking capped my line WRONG.
160 down, 512 up
Actual results: 100+ down, 300+ up.
Unacceptable considering I pay 66 a month and those f***ing MMO players are making my browsing hard!

Guys,
I have 3 streamyx account. One in my parents house, one in office and another one at home. All is using 1mb line. I tested on tmnet speedometer and the dl and ul speed is fine but one thing I aware is the respond. Office and parents house no lag but my house streamyx lag.

For example, once we enter tmnet speed test page, it will prompt to select server, package and measurement type. Then u click START TEST and u reach to another page with speedometer and GO button.

At home, everytime I press Go button, it will lag and begin to load only after 10-20seconds. My office and parents house is different. Once I click Go button, it will lauch and load immediately or maybe lag for 1-2seconds.

Anyone have idea what is going on with this? I believe when I surf the net sometimes, the lagging is the one that drag more time.

Yesterday, the mail server is not responding as well. Anyone facing this problem as well???

not matter what I do, I will always get 40.1kBps, thats is 30% of my speed, I even tried direct download many times and I get constant speed 40.1kBs but I NEVER GET ABOVE THAT!!! GRRR...

My upload also get only 13.1kBps max... in other word, all capped to 30%. T___T

I've tried to read many guides, faqs, and try out even proxy, but still cant get the speed Im suppose to have. Im pretty sure my line is okay, and my PC is clear from virus or worms.

I think they cap me at their DSLAM or something (correct me if im wrong here), I've called them many times, and nothing improve, they just say to call back in two days if I dont get my default speed.

I havent try at another PC or use another modem yet, so before I did that troublesome method, can anyone help me to pinpoint what the problem Im having with my connection? maybe I miss something, or somewhere I havent check yet...

If wrongly capped, after make a report, the speed is still not back to the "normal", what should do after this?

DL:1Mbps
UL:512kbps

But when I entered my modem status page, its shows

DL:1Mbps
UL:300++kbps

Is this normal? Or am I undercapped?

if running cybercafe ... ADSL and SDSL which 1 is better?

hm..i just wanna share strange experience with you guys. later this evening, I noticed that my internet connection speed is 1 Gbps. (I'm not joking here) usually it's states that the speed is 100 mbps. i was just like whoaa.. what happened to me? after disconnect and reconnect the speed is back to normal 100mbps.

i guess so.. but now why my lan connection speed is 100 mbps, how do i get the 1gbps connection speed again? I'm a noob in networkin stuff.

My package is the rm88 1mbps with modem wan....but the speed can reach up to 167Kb/s(Kilobytes) to be precise..i suspect they upgrade to 1.5mbps without us knowing.
or maybe coz 1mbps package can get for rm77 d....

i'm on the 512 package. but when i log in, it shows i'm connected at 1Mbps. but the speed is horribly slow. after checking my modem status, it shows my downstream is only 64kbps. WTF?!
