mine capped at 1.5mbps can reach 167kb/s too..

i'm on the 512 package. but when i log in, it shows i'm connected at 1Mbps. but the speed is horribly slow. after checking my modem status, it shows my downstream is only 64kbps. WTF?!

u need to make report to TM about your problem

guys.. does tm charge u one month in advance for streamyx?
like say u start subscribing streamyx on jan.. den 1st bill u pay jan n feb(one month advance) but den u get bill for feb again... den march, april n so on...

by right charges(RM88 package) frm jan up to april should be RM427 (RM75 activation plus 4 X RM88) but by totalling up the total amount stated on tm bill it comes up to RM515 (RM88 xtra but bill from jan to april). tm say dey charge one month in advance so in effect on my april bill i'm actually paying for the month jun....

my direct download speeds are xtremely slow....max i can get its 40kb-60kbps only even using flashget. torrents no question...only 10 i'm lucky. if super lucky 20 (without vpn) here are my speedtest results:

does this mean i'm on a 512 package u think? cuz my landlord did the streamyx thing and under her name not mine, so i'm not sure what package i'm on what do u guys think?

Is My connection speed ok ?

Hi all.. Ok here's the story. Last two weeks I subscribed to tmnet streamyx. Then I setup the modem myself to allow it auto connect, since I'm using Kubuntu most of the time rather than Windows XP. And I succeeded.

However yesterday, all the sudden I was unable to connect to internet (does any1 experience the same thing?). It began with a very slow connection, keep disconnecting and in the end it was unable to connect at all. So I tried to change back PPP0E to Bridge. However when I clicked "Connect" it seems that the modem still going through PPPOE and unable to connect.

My question is, where else should I change and is it safe for me to use back "Default configuration"? Since I'm planning to install a wifi router in my house. Or at least to allow me to get back online

Btw my modem is ADSL BD102 ADSL 2/2+.

My streamyx has been miscapped for almost a month already....lodged few reports, and talked to many technicians but problem still there !

Suppose to be 1024DL, and now became like this....

You also need to test it with their speedtest. They will asked eventually so why not test it first. Also don't forget to save some download speed screenshot from local and international site (http download).

my streamyx package is 512kbps RM 44 y is it at 540 kbps

I was at a food court in kch b4 dota match, and a Streamyx Salesman approached my gang. And since he said he'l try to explain wadever technical parts and streamyx connection issues, so we shot some simple questions to him.

My friend has upgraded his 512 package to 1MB package, and the bills are showing a 1MB package. a upgrade notice receipt has also been given to my friend a few weeks ago. but then, its still the same 512 line. so we ask the salesman, and he said that the technicians around kch is very limited, and its norm for us to be capped wrongly. reasons is that changing line speed needs technical factors and software factors. the technical factor is already very troublesome, as technicians usually need to file a report when changing our cap. and the software for the TMPoint HQ is very messy, and always down [*like TM's system always down], so its very troublesome. Its impossible for us to complain to customer service through fone calls, so its best to shot it up to the upper managers of the state branch.

Question, can i unsubscribe and subscribe again to get the mp3 player?

Hi everyone, when I access my router Web Manager, It show me my downstream is 1021 and upstream is 511. But when I download any file, only can up to 60kb/s.

I suppose to get at least 100kb/s, right? how come only get 60kb/s. Anything wrong?

what's the reason if my line cant get the full downstream/upstream ?

sometimes i only get a quarter of my full downstream speed.

And what does SNR margin and line attenuation tell ?

u may hv a very bad port (TMB) OR a bad modem(yours) OR bad internal wiring(yours)

Try get a friend's modem to check the above.

Try plugging the TMB line directly to the modem (bypass all telephony devices) abd check sync speed again.
I strongly think u have a bad internal wiring.

once done and if TMB's issue = call 100(TMB) to make a complain about it.

capping is done with your streamyx account (radius server) and nothing to do with the sync speed indicated. so u pay for what u subscribed and not shown in your modem.

u may want to consider terminating it (make sure ur account is 12 or 24 months old (depends on your package when u applied) and reapply for better offers available now.

i recognize this problem long time ago when i try to get into TMNET Streamyx website to upgrade my 512 package to 1M, then there are many bug & errors at most of the pages in their website.

till now, streamyx still not improve it & i think they have a "noob programmer" kind of website..
