cydia will do auto saving for SHSH, just set the tiny umbrella to get shsh from cydia, and u can get it already.

Added on April 27, 2012, 3:50 amin this case u should buy R-Sim to unlock and activate this phone 1st, then only do jailbreaking...

contact Wimpykid to get the sim...

or try this before u decide to buy the sim, if can work then u r lucky, if can't then u need the sim :

1. press home button until you exit sos call screen
2. dial 112, call begins when we press power button until it comes off the screen give you cancel and return to the caller hung up the call and wait a few seconds and enable normal screen
3. jailbreak with absinthe

can, but some said lagging because old tech.
actually, ip4 and 4s also laggy la because of jb.

if you mean install iOS 5, then cannot.., iPhone 3G max only 4.2.1

u can remove a lot of un-used daemon and language files, and iP4 also work well with VM, since the based RAM is big enough..

lag only happen if u used too many mobile substrate add-on, and theming too much...

Hi all, now i got a problem. I want to try to use software unlock, which is the SAM method... but after i configure all the step , the iTunes cant activated my iphone, i have tried alot of times. but still the same, anyone can help me? because i want to try this before i update to iOS 5.1. Currently, my bb is 04.10.01 and 4.3.5 firmware and my phone is from UK locked set and i used gevey sim to unlock it..

Now already owned R-Sim. All done like u said but still same result. Now for me, if can do activation and using like ipod is ok. But

use CFW 4.2.1 using sn0wbreeze...

Try it but same result. I think R-Sim only for unlock not for activate.

when u plug it to iTunes with R-sim (and your sim attached to it of course) what iTunes say? give me a screenshot

it's not logic to be able to unlock but can't activate...

how about your host file? have u ever changed anything?

sometimes people used to change their host file so iTunes can't contact apple server properly thus it can't activate your phone...

why i check shsh using cydia show 4.3.5, 5.0.1 and 5.1
and when using ifaith i juz got 4.3.5

That's because iFaith can only extract the SHSH of the current firmware that your ipHone is currently using.

i want to update from 4.3.5 to 5.0.1 by preserve bb. but i got error 3194 and mmbr forum said need to use ifaith. so can i know solution for error 3194?
when i try to build ipsw using ifaith i need shsh. so i put tinyU shsh. it currently not support.. how?

use Redsn0w to stitch your SHSH with the FW, another word, create the custom FW using Redsn0w...

Get the SHSH from TinyUmbrella which can get the SHSH from Cydia (the advance Tba --> Request SHSH from Cydia)

Make sure you know where the SHSH is kept in the local directory.

Then run iFaith to stitch the 5.0.1 SHSH (that you downloaded) with the 5.0.1 firmware to create the custom firmware

Once that is done, do the Shift + Restore via iTunes. Follow the guide in the 3rd post
