chinese keyboard crash normally happen if u use Snowbreeze and choose simple mode, or u accidently delete it when u delete the language pack

make another custom CFW using Snowbreeze and choose baseband preservation mode,

if u are factory unlocked, just use stock 5.1 and jailbreak using Redsnow 0.9.10b6b

don't restore from backup (this will bring back the crash), set it as new phone.. will fix the thing

just fix another 3Gs with same problem last week..

Your 4s on 5.0.1 can JAILBROKEN using Absinthe or Redsn0w 0.9.10b8

When u jailbreak it will hacktivate the phone

after u can pass the lockscreen, download SAM from Cydia and unlock + activate genuinely using it,

the detail how to do it, please do your homework, everything was written clearly by Azraeil

There's a way..., u still need to fully restore the phone though

go to setting - reset - reset all setting

this will bring your phone to factory setting without any app installed in it...

u can run Absinthe without problem after this...

this is the way to restore to 5.0.1 without blobs, but only available if your phone haven't jailbroken yet...

cydia will do auto saving for SHSH, just set the tiny umbrella to get shsh from cydia, and u can get it already.

contact Wimpykid to get the sim...

or try this before u decide to buy the sim, if can work then u r lucky, if can't then u need the sim :

1. press home button until you exit sos call screen
2. dial 112, call begins when we press power button until it comes off the screen give you cancel and return to the caller hung up the call and wait a few seconds and enable normal screen
3. jailbreak with absinthe

u can remove a lot of un-used daemon and language files, and iP4 also work well with VM, since the based RAM is big enough..

lag only happen if u used too many mobile substrate add-on, and theming too much...

when u plug it to iTunes with R-sim (and your sim attached to it of course) what iTunes say? give me a screenshot

it's not logic to be able to unlock but can't activate...

how about your host file? have u ever changed anything?

sometimes people used to change their host file so iTunes can't contact apple server properly thus it can't activate your phone...

use Redsn0w to stitch your SHSH with the FW, another word, create the custom FW using Redsn0w...

This is true, but also, who knows? that's why i said to them that if they have several exploits then it's nevermind to keep it... but if only one, better they release it fast...

as for 5.1 exploit, just make sure everybody save their SHSH while still can so they can go to 5.1 later..

for A5 devices user, too bad..., i think the hacker should prioritize to find a way to downgrade or using SHSH for this devices 1st..

So 1st, we preserve baseband :

1. Open Redsn0w 0.9.10b7 or 8, choose Custom IPSW
2. Pick Your Ori 5.0.1 IPSW and wait the process

2nd, We Stitch SHSH

1. Take SHSH of 5.0.1 using TinyUmbrella
2. Use Redsn0w 0.9.10b7 or 8 choose Extras --> SHSH
3. Choose Stitch and Use The SHSH from step 1 (choose Local) combine it with NoBB 5.0.1 we just created
4. Redsn0w will create another IPSW in same folder as your NOBB IPSW the Latest IPSW Name should be look like this (this is mine created using Redsn0w as well) :


3rd, We restore

1. Put your device in PWNED DFU (don't forget to turn off device before do this, to prevent error happen when restore)
2. Restore using iTunes
3. Drink Coffee or eat maggie while iTunes restoring your phone
4. If it stuck on Recovery Screen, Just use Redsn0w again and choose Recovery Fix

just uninstall the tweak that hogging your phone resources

remove un-used daemons, run syscleanpro from terminal, move the fonts file and remove all un-necessary keyboard & language files...

and u can try install dynamic pager as well, with 1Gb based Ram, VM will work very well...

syscleanpro will remove all un-necessary language pack and keyboard from your phone, remove foreign language files that u won't used, move system fonts to 2nd partition and remove all retina images if u r not using HD capable devices.. Make more space on your system partition, and make your device snappier,

this is a script that need to run from terminal, so u need to install mobile terminal and install the script, u can get it from repo.insanelyi.com

u also would like to consider remove launch daemons script as addition, this will remove system daemon that not needed (for example : crash report daemon, wifi log daemon, and many more) for normal usage, so will help your device get more ram to run other thing... and more battery life as well, since less thing running on background

as for dynamic pager, this literally like a paging file in windows system or macintosh or any other operating system normally, this dynamic pager will allocate space on your main storage of your phone to act as a ram, to help the main ram to operate the system and running app.., in short word, it won't let u got a "low memory" situation. On devices that have low ram & cpu speed by default, this won't really help, since if your ram was too low to begin with, this pager will continuesly try to switching between original ram and "pseudo" ram, thus, will causing lag on the devices itself. But the story is different when it run on devices with plenty ram and better CPU to begin, it will help u boost your system especially when you run heavy duty games... or multitasking a lot..

for example, on normal iPhone 4 w/ 512 original RAM, after jailbreak and install some tweaks, normally your available RAM when idling is around 150mb - 250mb, tops 300s mb if u don't have mobile substrate add-on at all, with dynamic pager, your available ram when idling will range around 250 - 400 mb..

as explained earlier, this only suitable for iPhone 4, 4s, iPad 2 and later gen... as this devices have sufficient spec to support the dynamic pager run properly...

set both permission to 0755 (Read Write Execute, Read Execute, Read Execute)

reboot and do free memory using sbsetting, your phone will look like hang for a while, just wait, it's normal, since the dynamic pager will create the paging file for 1st time...

yes u can using iFile... as well as iFunbox or cyberduck if mac user

the link contain 2 files,

1 is com.apple.dynamic_pager.plist - this one need to placed in System/Library/Launch Daemon

and

com.apple.virtual_memory.plist - put this in var/preferences

don't forget check the permission of the file as i stated on previous post.

iFile can change permission, just click the blue arrow next to the file name, and scroll down, u can see permission option and u will directly understand what i mean by Read Write Execute

i'm not being pesimistic, but i don't think it will actually work again... since the way apple
verified the device activation has changed now...

this vm effect would seen when u run heavy game while multitasking other app as well.. example is : playing infinity blade 2 while backgrounding other app

btw, to check whether vm run properly or not is by going to var/vm and see whether you have 3 swap file inside there or not. If don't have, mean vm haven't run...

for better perf in normal usage, have u do the syscleanpro and remove launch daemons script?

Remember when they used to have 5 exploits for iOS 5 at beta stage? and all burned to nothing on final 5.0 ? There's no way to tell whether apple will be able to patch the exploit that being keep...

also do u remember Greenpois0n and LimeRa1n story? Chronic Team planned to released Greenpois0n with their exploit, then suddenly come our hero, Geo with LimeRa1n's bootrom exploit that allow all A4 user have jailbreak avail till today. At thos day, chronic team decide to keep their exploit and released Greenpois0n using Geo's exploit instead. They said they gonna keep the exploit for next iOS version. But what happened? It patched by Apple before it even come to see the light...

So, nowaday with this Cat and Mouse game, who faster is the one who gonna win more..., except if you always can find bootrom exploit which is un-patchable till new hardware gen.. Too bad Geo is no longer in the scene, he was the one that keep finding bootrom exploit, long since apple iPhone 2G legacy..
