Is the socket 1155 distance to the first RAM slot standard across all mobo? hmm.gif

If it is not standard, can u measure the distance between first screw mounting hole(right most) to first RAM slot(left most). hmm.gif

wanna see what cooler can fit the corsair vengeance high profile type RAM on P67 sabertooth.

Anyone here got Noctua NH-C14 with corsair vengeance tall/high profile version? can fit the buttom fan with high profile corsair vengeance RAM? hmm.gif top down cooler might work wonder on sabertooth thermal armor tho.

Just noticed that the RAM heatsink is that tall, confirmed not fit then.

Now I have 2 options, 1st is buy a new set of LP Ram and get D14 and 2nd is buy Corsair H100.
Both about the same price RM500++, which 1 is better ?

I read somewhere on the internet about the H100, he get worse result than a Hyper 212, so strange.

hmmm.... i'm totally new to water cooling kit, is this Rasa kit maintenance free like H100? And which model of rasa kit is around RM500 ? Which shop in lowyat can i get ?

EDIT: I'm using 650W PSU btw, is it sufficient to use a watercooling kit or D14 ?

nice try but win7 SP1 + Latest LinX will surely required A LOT LOT more voltage & generate A LOT LOT more heat. sweat.gif

Easy decision. 3570K is a better buy than 2500K.
IB can also take high core temps and not degrade like SB, it can also do 4.5ghz on air, just depends on your CPU.
IB @ 4.5GHz is enough to beat SB 4.9GHz. Most SB could only achieve 4.7GHz max on aircooling.
However the high temp you see doesn't mean the heat coming off of it is high. The cooler isn't that hot when touch with hands.
TJmax for IB is alot higher than what SB offered.

Quad core based mobile IB should be available start from 29/4
Followed by Dual core in June.

this is the one rclxms.gif
Well done kunta. Nice MSI's cherry picked chip you got there with that vcore it is air cooled friendly. I think 5GHz is possible on water.

Added on April 25, 2012, 12:30 pmOhh the LinX posted in the post #1 is the latest version coded with AVX.

for some reasons, i believe this one is not cherry pick. maybe just lucky..or ES maybe
for some reason i think 3770K will behave like this.not sure tho.

checked using DMM, the voltage is 1.141v.

Tried under water, dont think its possible for daily usage. above 4.6ghz the vcore is insane already.
but frankly i never try above 4.7ghz..

Hello everyone!

Thinking about getting a 3570k as well.

I'll be using a Corsair H100 with Scythe Gentle Typhoons 1450rpm in push only config.

Do you guys think I can hit 4.5 GHz with this cooling?
And will it be safe for 24/7 use?

a Noctua nh-d14 will be more than enough if not better than the Corsair h100 in terms of price and performance for hitting a 4.5ghz on IB.

I got the H100 for free at work.
Don't look a gift horse into it's mouth, or however the saying goes tongue.gif

The H100 is very close to the performance of the Noctua though right?
Or is the difference that big?
