Alright, u think it's possible to use the same stock voltage while oc-ing it up to 4.3? Cuz I'm using offset -.050v at the moment for the 4.2Ghz. Using custom wc to cool things down atm so I think should be able to handle it? biggrin.gif

If the current vCore is the lowest voltage you have tried then you might need to increase the vCore.

Took your advise and tried upping the voltage abit. Currently now with 4.5Ghz at 1.181v. Is it kinda high?
Idle 28-33C, On load 61-67C.

Your GFlops seems to have dropped maybe due to insufficient vCore.
Try pumping a little more vCore to get 100+

No one selling the pro in Malaysia.
You must import it directly from Coolaboratory website for much cheaper price than the ultra sold by niclasteoh.

hmm.. alright will fine tune it again soon. So the target gflops should be around 100+ is it? smile.gif And what about Intel Extreme Tuning Utility? are they any good? smile.gif

That would be roughly 125 GFlops. I understand that Intel recommends XTU or Aida64 for stress testing but for me the only way to check the real stability is the old school - Prime95 or LinX or IBT.

Upped the vcore +0.1 to 1.181v, should need more? Currently IBT load temp had reach to scorching 70C should I proceed adding more voltage? As GFlops just achieved a little pass 100 GFlops.

You should add more juice to get more GFlops.

alright. Will test It 2morrow? At what voltage/temperature I should be starting to worried about pumping too much?

Since this is a stress test so you would just look at the TJmax of 105C.

Late in the game, but managed to OC mine 3507k to 4.5GHz @ 1.255v.
Max temp is 90 using IBT,later will upload the print screen.
One question,if I select the XMP profile, why my proc doesn't drop the multiplier to lowest when it idle?or is it i manually enter the voltage that is why the ratio is not drop during idle hmm.gif . All setting intel speed step,c3,c6 are enable.

hmm.gif, I only need 1.245v for 4.6GHz stable 24/7. please try it first bro, 4.5GHz the proc only requires about 1.195-1.2v Vcore iirc so 1.255 to me is very high. regarding your multiplier, check your windows power setting..make sure it is set to "Balanced" or "Power Saver". try that first..

hi,sudah upgrade haswell,
1.255V 4.6GHz stable using linx
[attachmentid=3810490]
not yet try find lower vcore cause too lazy biggrin.gif
Yeah,by changing the power option, the multiplier is drop during idle

So.. for someone who's late into the game, what's the most economical way for me to replace my 3450 with a 3570K?

I eventually plan to go SLI and will require a motherboard change too. Should I stick with Ivy Bridge or just get new Haswell?

Did you mean 3470? I can't find any details on the 3470K hmm.gif
3470 vs 3450
You will never see a difference between these two as the 3470 CPU clock is only 0.1 GHz faster = 3% faster

If you can wait, Haswell Refresh will be (hard) launched in April together with the new Z97 chipset with new features.

Sorry I meant the 3570K. Yes, upgrading to the 3470 would be absurd smile.gif

If you plan to overclock then the 3570K would be a better choice.
"K" stands for unlocked multiplier with overclocking potential.
But then upgrading from Ivy Bridge to a faster Ivy Bridge doesn't really feel a significant difference in performance.
