QUOTE(zeone @ Apr 25 2012, 08:21 PM) For one, drop in vacuum high could be due2 point of tapping the engine vac... Chk & see if can find another more direct tapping point ie if possible w/o sharing with other use of car vac. Hope yu kno wat me trying to say here... 1 - 2L engine? Means compressor as fitted is suitable for use by engines from as low as 1L and up to as high as 2L ie it'll provide sufficient cooling power when used by such capacity engines. But then, of course, the load on those engines nearer the bottom 1L range, wld be much higher than the load on the 2L engines... Namely a less powerful engine (1L) turning/working a compressor suitable also for a 2L engine.... ![]() From what I understand, an ACTUAL motor vacuum should read nearest to the intake valve inlet. If old Mits 4G series of intake manifold all came with a vacuum port nearest to the end of the intake manifold. Reason being, this is the most accurate vacuum reading, after discount of air-con controller/2nd throttle(carburator)/fuel regulator/head lights/power steering... etc...etc. And therefore, the vacuum reading is the summarized detail of the entire engine's health condition. However, the current condition is, CAMPUR engine doesn't have any vacuum port at the IAFM manifold that is suitable for gauges(besides of brake booster's vacuum supply) Seriously, I have not much knowledge on the air-con stuff. Regardless, my all other project has been put on hold to give priority to the bloody air-con compressor now! QUOTE(zeone @ April 25, 2012, 8:47 pm) Yup. Yup. Just got back from Tenkaki Fried Ayam. If not wrong, the vac tube in yr pic fr inlet manifold is connected to FICD ctrl switch for aircon acc2 my mem of my ole Saga. The acc shop fren who comnected my vac meter then did test vac meter connected to it but found it not giving proper readings. Finally he connected to another tube to left of carb. Kenot rber which tube to where oledi. Sorry... Din sapu back my vac meter when sold off the car... Re Campro, thks 4info. Wld come in handy if me decide 2buy new vac meter... Looks like many not human now arnd liao...gonna strike 12 soon... |

Good morning, Everyone!
Juz a Final Update re investigations into my car batt condition... This time using Gunson's Testune Multitester.... » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Well, feel sure now my ride has a Batt problem... Hv to either get a Batt Charger to bring it up to FULL charge level...if possible... OR go for a long long run and re-chk condition after leaving it idle overnight. If results are still bad, then a NEW battery wld be needed SOON!! Tks a meg, guys, for following my "boring" batt story... Juz wanna share nia...
