Thank u for sharing! I've never think that soup water can harden the rubber.

I've read somewhere that using tap water is not good coz got many contaminant. Best practice is that use distill water/ro water coz less contaminant.

Added on May 16, 2012, 10:12 amAfter send my car to SC, I realise that got scratches on my gear knob and my front bumper sad.gif

ps/: Got small paint defect tompok red color.. I ask them how to claim paint defect, they said cannot.

Paint defect cannot claim. But if body rust can claim IF you didn't miss the once a year full body inspection which you have to pay for yourself.

hey guys , a very noob question here , how to calculate l/km thingy ar ? sorry ar , i think i failed maths in my whole life
*
92 I think you mean km/L, because L/km will give you a pretty small number.

If you don't wanna calculate just enter your data into Fuelly lah tongue.gif

Freak accident! Ferrari VS Taxi
*
I wouldn't call that a freak accident. A freak accident is something like when a tree falls on your car, or a sinkhole forms under your car and swallows it. This is a wholly preventable accident, caused by sheer negligence and stupidity mad.gif

QUOTE(davidke20 @ May 16 2012, 09:53 AM)
#2: sundry expanses could be the tap water they added to your radiator, or they use duct tape to shut your oil sum ph34r.gif

Duct tape can seal leaking oil sump ah ohmy.gif

QUOTE(davidke20 @ May 16 2012, 12:44 AM)
Absofreakinlutely no idea how those car behive that way. Driving style holds the 50% of the causes of fuel consumption behavior. Like my father style, he can do 20cent/km on a TOYOGA GRIUS. Funny thing is, regardless its a GRIUS from his friend, my BLM, my previous WIGA1.6, my ISWAGA 1.3, my brother's BiBA 850... he does exactly 20cent/km for all those cars. He's just so comfortable with his 3rd gear at 5krpm, even on high way. My mother once told me, how come your BLM sound geh? Your father's car sounds like a sports car you know "VROOM VROOM!" doh.gif

laugh.gif

QUOTE
Read my siggy, both car behave almost the same mileage. Before I had the vacuum stuck on my BLM, I can only do 250km/tank of RM60 fillup. After I put the gague, back to 300+. If translate it to cent/km or km/litre, it looks more or less the same with my ISWAGA blink.gif

I developed to read vacuum since I owned a KE20

I'm talking about the car, and I'm not that DAVID. My previous magician taught me use that thing to troubleshoot my 30 years old engine.
Wahhh in that case if I install vacuum gauge and learn to read it maybe I can hit 600 km on one tank already tongue.gif

QUOTE
No worries, am not going to overhaul the damn car anyway. Swap engine is definitely more worthy. Let's hope no debree left inside, so my engine can last for another decade thumbup.gif

Good luck!

QUOTE
Technically, natural gas will NOT hurt... UNLESS
1) Not enough gas feed in (result in burning lean and causes high heat)
2) Natural gas IS slaggy compare to petrol. The long haul of RPM rewing before the car start moving, that actually contribute to quicker clutch wear off.
3) If you run out of gas, you may switch back to petrol, but your A/F mixture will become TOO RICH, lots of black smoke and car wouldn't move, petrol consumption is 4x prior NGV conversion

My cousin is using the 1st batch BLM + NGV(if you remember the NGV package). His monthly gas expanses is around 100 bucks, with regular outstation travelling, another 100 bucks on petrol. He change engine oil once a month...some weird brand name with the rating of 20w50. And he's kinda enjoy playing with the switch, flicker back and forth. When pickup, switch to petrol, rev the damn thing up to 100kmh then cruise with NGV  shakehead.gif
*
Hmmmm if your cousin does that wouldn't No. 3 happen? Suddenly eksos spew black smoke and engine stall...

doh.gif it was a joke la,bcoz ebitime serbis the SC sure will charge the drain gasket(which they don't change sometimes), I was making fun of it saying they probably use duct tape to jame the oil drain nut instead laugh.gif

In your case could be the otherway round. If your current driving style is "LEAN" type, after installing you practice stoich will actually burn more fuel. Vacuum gauge is getting the MOST efficient driving(not lowest fuel consumption). Efficient meaning, the right amount of fuel to get right amount of travel distance & speed. My case is, although I'm doing stoich, but I'm not slow. Very hard to explain, next time u cum KL I take u a midnight trail at MRR2 full course. I can complete that course within 20 minutes + running around 15cent/km, ONLY IN KL! Don't ask me go up north. The last time I time trail jelutong hiway kena saman ady doh.gif

The control unit will auto adjust air/fuel mixture 1 wor, that's what he claim lar. He's a regular long distance traveller, almost every week 1500km. North to Thailand border, South to Singapore. Once he drove his Genari INTO Port Dickson beach shakehead.gif He need that device since he drive to kampong area no gas for him to refill, can possibly pay 4x petrol price just to save a tank og gas duh blink.gif

Next time service tell exactly what you want and what you dont want. Even name the engine oil brand and what coolant, gear oil you want,

That way they know that you are not some clueless aunty/uncle and will think twice before ripping you off.
