For those of u waiting for delivery of ur beloved K5s, pls hang in there. Trust me, its really worth waitin for n i hav been a jap car user for more than 15yrs till today. I m really impressed n happy to own my 1st korean, my K5. This car is made to prove tt the koreans can produce wonderful cars. Wif the help of Peter Schreyer of course.
Honestly, the matter lies wif MITI n its not really nazas fault this time. I m not defending them neither do i work/affiliated wif them. Its good to know the truth rather bashing up someone whose got no control over the current situation. If u say the taxes has not been paid or setted then no way the cars can leave the port. Mind u tt MITI who is procesing the aps hav to serve other car manufacturers as well. I dun think they can cope nor intend to move faster to cope wif the demand. Bear in mind there has been new n upcoming car launches this recent months. Fyi, cars manufactured in thailand oso requires an ap. So theres backlog backlog n more backlogs. My friendly advise is to continue to hang on if u can. Easier said than done but i u can, u ll b rewarded wif a great driving experience. If u wanna know since i talk so much, i put in a booking fee in Dec 2011, i got my car in May 2012. Contributed by own fault causing the delay. But worth the wait. Hi all
Joining the club. Booked my silver K5 on Dec 28 when it was launched and collected car on Feb 16. Been driving around ever since and love it. To all new owners, because its very low, always be careful when you go over bump. Hit my bottom too when exiting Empire basement shopping mall car park. Heart wrenching. Be warned Another question to other fellow owners - the sounds from the driver and passenger speaker sounds muffled and unclear. It is configured naturally this way? the SA let me hear the sounds from other optima and it sounded the same. Thxs Regards Nick |

QUOTE(technick @ Jun 21 2012, 10:00 PM) Hi all Welcome mate. If u referrin the radio, then yes. Mine is oso somewat muffled or bass heavy. Best settings for me, bass +3, mid +9, treble +10 n fader +4 rear. If u notice, radio volume needs to be up fr 8-10 range for decent listening. Where as mp3, 8 is loud enuf, 10 if u dun wanna hear ur wife nag. Juz kiddin. Lol...Joining the club. Booked my silver K5 on Dec 28 when it was launched and collected car on Feb 16. QUOTE(cybermaster98 @ Jun 21 2012, 06:27 PM) Doesnt matter if u puchased cash or otherwise. The very fact that Naza Kia can deliver CBU cars fast is a clear statement that they are serious about customer service. U find me another car manufacturer that can deliver newly launched CBU cars within 2 weeks. Even Toyota cant do that. So lets cut them some slack. This problem is not caused by Naza in any way. If u wanna blame anybody then blame the Gov. Hi there I paid full price cash less ncb n rm50 for loan documents, when I bought on 18 June ! I think you don't seem to get it that when payment is requested n given on promise to deliver then it must be honoured by nazakia dealership! So I expect NazaKia to keep their promise n not muck me around otherwise I would not have paid! So in striking the deal I kept my part NazaKia mucked up n now Hopefully they will keep their promise if their dealer deliver optima next Friday until then I have no wish to think NazaKia is great etc! The truth is if they thought customer is important then they should not have done what they did in my case ! I will wait n see about service! Hope it is as good as you say. CheersDelivery time is not important in my opinion. Whats more important is the car itself. The fact that ure getting a value for money car at such a price together with an excellent design is more important. Doesnt matter if its delayed even a few months. SA's can always promise the world and we all know that Kia is in the process of rebranding so that involves front end improvements. This change cannot happen overnight so lets all be patient and give Naza Kia the support they need. I collected my car today and im very impressed with their warranty support. Even though they couldnt locate the problem but they still agreed to change both rear shock absorbers to 'give me peace of mind'. I doubt u will ever get this kind of treatment at any other car manufacturer. Plus after all the testing, they even gave my car a wash. Resolvement of the problem was followed up by an email confirming what they had done in addition to many phone calls to keep me updated since 2 days ago. This is something to be proud of so appreciate it. Vehicle warranty is the most important factor not delivery time. |

QUOTE(devinz @ Jun 21 2012, 03:58 PM) Kia posted up some notice mentioning on the delay on their facebook.. although it is just some typical notice without much detail but at least i appreciate their reply. Take a look at Hyundai Sime Darby facebook. The facebook is nothing but mere a marketing channel for Sime Darby. All question posted are NEVER replied.. There are worst out there and at least Naza "seems" to be doing something over it.. |

Also NazaKia must let customers know of problem lah not take order, booking, payment then tell BS about documentation problem! This whole national car project needs to be scrapped n level playing field n no more crap cars with huge Govt levy lah! This whole national car project needs to be scrapped n level playing field n no more crap cars with huge Govt levy lah! Cars are a necessity not luxury n the rakyat have paid the price of crazy policy for so many years! Bro all this is is getting very tiring & is besides the point la. No point talking about Gov policies and crony businesses. If u really wanna kill off the crony business, then are you prepared to boycott every single one of them? Boycott Astro, TNB, all cars, all major eateries even nasi kandar, sugar, rice, etc? Shall i list all of them? Let's be practical. U seem to be only making a big deal out of this just cuz u bought the car cash and u expect some world class treatment but just cuz its Korean u go on and on bashing them. Put yorself in their shoes. Would you risk losing sales but revealing facts about the delays? I wouldnt cuz i would think that a few weeks of delays wont hurt anybody and seriously it doesnt. if it was gonna be a few months then i would have. Car deliveries were always between 1-3 months in general. Go check other manufacturers. Just cuz Naza does a good job and brings in cars earlier and startrs delivering within 2 weeks of booking, you raise the bar for them and start slamming them for a delay that has alot to do with factors beyond their control. It wasnt something Naza could time estimate. Everybody wanted an early solution and having u here slamming them madly while knowing only 1 side of the story doesnt actually make it a level playing field does it? So please take my advice and stop. There are more important issues to discuss on this thread than your i-paid-for-cash-so-Naza-cant-make-any-mistakes-whatsover attitude. There are issues with the car that need to be resolved e.g steering issues. Start doing research on it, read up on it, ask some mechanics and get some base info while waiting for your car as this issue will affect EVERYBODY on varying levels. This is more of a concern than continously harping on a few weeks delay with a car delivery. I dont mean to be blunt or rude but seriously bro, please take this down a few notches. Its really doing the Kia reputation no good at all. This post has been edited by cybermaster98: Jun 22 2012, 08:15 AM |

Cm98 make a good point here. I was in Mazda today checking cx5 for fun. Guess what, it takes 9 months no matter you pay cash or top up more, the reality is u gotta wait. And the best part is when u got the car in 2013, it is still mnfg in 2012. Sales guy can say it is hotdemand la, no stock la, no materials la, AP la.....but only God knows what is the real issue behind.....
So, waiting a 2-3 months is norm for cbu. I consider my self lucky for being able to get k5 in less than 10 days.... Added on June 22, 2012, 9:45 amToday I was driving at some 70kmh while picking up the left turn over the federal highway to subang direction, the road has some pot hole and I ram over it while making turning. There was a weird sound 'krak-krak' quite obvious over the front right side. Any of u guys experience that? This is not the first time I encountered this This post has been edited by ken7908: Jun 22 2012, 09:45 AM |
