hmm.gif  perhaps some electronic steering error? I don't know. usually those were set by speed default to match your steering weight.
as far as I know accord 2.4 current model can hit above 220km/h (need long distance)
Camry previous model can hit about 200km/h

thats all base on owner comment, I nvr drove those car at that speed (cause not my car, And I will try not to hit more than 180 km/h) laugh.gif
Ive hit 200kmph on my 2003 Vios so i dont see why a 2.4L Accord can't hit speeds in access of 220kmph unless its ECU limiting.

That is exactly how I feel. My entire family members did not support me buying korean car espeacially KIA, and before getting the car already face problem... imagine the presure I am having now. I already feel like giving up.

It is worth the wait, imagine the specs compared to the T&H and unpeccable safety features, the competitive price and lots more. Trust me you will not regret it; I was a Forte owner and I hve booked a K5. Delivery is expected to be mid July. Good to be in this forum.

Maybe becoz Accord engine tuning rather than ECU limiting. Hardly can hit more than 220kmh.
Accord is a bulky car and feel heavy when driving although 2.4L pickup to me is good.

From promised early of May to end of May, then to mid Jun, then end of Jun, now mid of July? Seriously, i m sure when is mid of july, naza will tell u end of July, then mid of august. I know most car u have to wait for 3 to 6 months, and I seriously don't mind waiting for 6 months. The problem is, car is already here, "downpayment paid" and register for number plate and gotten "WWU" but now WWX is already on the road, I still haven't get the car. Probably when WXZ on the road, I still haven't get the car and I am still holding to WWU. Imagine the frustration. mad.gif

No idea IF there's going to be an increase or not. Price increase would create the wrong kind of impression (you can expect lots of people blasting Naza for being greedy, dumb, blah blah blah) and is probably the last resort if all else fails. I hope it won't come to that.

I agree and I understand that the extra tax imposed for the K5 is 24K a pop...I for one would not go ahead with the deal if the tax is trickled down to the customer...

Well, complaining more may not get you the desired results. Right now, the fact is that you made your booking in early May and now its just 1.5 months. My advice would be to just be patient and wait a while longer since there is nothing much you can do and 1.5 months isnt exactly a time frame to warrant a mass protest.

But do keep in mind that this thread is visited by owners and also potential owners. Although we need to be transparent in our complaints but let's also be a bit tactful. We all know that the K5 is a great car for the price we're paying and we want others to have similar thoughts as well.

Im sure there are underlying issues that need to be resolved by Naza and im quite sure they are doing their best. Its not in their favor to have cars sitting at docks and at showrooms collecting dust since they are paying for storage but not getting anything in return.

I would love to see more Optima's on the road for sure but we all know there's a problem so just give Naza the benefit of the doubt for now, shall we? biggrin.gif

Hi Everyone. I book my K5 on January. Only get it in April. Nice car. Love the Infinity sound. However I don't like the steering. Always keep to left even in low speed.
Happy waiting for those who have book and Happy driving for those with the car. biggrin.gif

Hi you may have read my earlier posts n now NazaKia tell me in reply that there is a standard notice... 3 to 5 mths waiting to get optima! BS story as I never read or saw any" standard notice..." when I go to their dealer and infact the salesperson promise vehicle before 30 June but later said cannot get silver only light graphite! I also already pay for the optima. Also NazaKia refusing to answer question as to why they say documentation problem then legal ROADWORTHINESS etc? I ask NazaKia why they refusing to answer and why no standard notice displayed in their showroom and not in optima brochure NazaKia never answer! Also refuse to answer why optima unit available with dealer but unable to release to paid customer! NazaKia Lousy! Any person wanting to buy optima or Naza vehicle I suggest look elsewhere given the LOUSY nonsense I have experienced!

Hi man sorry but I had enough BS from NazaKia to know that they have not been levelling with us the customers! I have already paid and was promised delivery before 30 June and now macam macam cerita from NazaKia even when the units are sitting at dealerships. NazaKia tell all sorts of BS documentation problem, what documentation problem I write and ask they then say standard notice of delivery 3 to 5 mths which I never saw or any i read in showroom or read in any brochure! Then NazaKia say legal ROADWORTHINESS! When I ask if any problem with optima or with kerajaan Malaysia? What the Hell is going on and why are there so many optima available at dealers but cannot release to customer who already paid! BS dealership and would have never stepped into NazaKia showroom or dealer if I had known of this BS! Should have stuck to jap/cont makes like I have done previously never had this issue where after promise and payment then BS cerita start and never HABIS!

Kia posted up some notice mentioning on the delay on their facebook..

although it is just some typical notice without much detail but at least i appreciate their reply.

Take a look at Hyundai Sime Darby facebook. The facebook is nothing but mere a marketing channel for Sime Darby. All question posted are NEVER replied..

There are worst out there and at least Naza "seems" to be doing something over it..

the fact that matter is, will u want to wait for ANOTHER 3 or 4 months? doesnt matter it was 1 month or 2 weeks. a promise is a promise and this is one of the many lackings we are having here in malaysia. customer always expected to pick up the shite no matter what. they say customer always right but now not only they are wrong but customer cannot do anything except ... being pushed right left front back. u must punish who cant deliver, afterall it just a goddaymn car. ur heart no longer longed for it.

i'm all for smart consumerism. so my advice is, give ultimatum to u urself and to them. wa want to trust the system but in the end we need to look after ourselves as well. so, deliver the car by this date and so and so. if they cant do that, ask refund all that been paid. i know some of u may dream about k5 but what for if the heart is no longer with it? a refund some come within 2 weeks minimum or 1 month maximum. a refund is a confirm thing. u get ur money back. 508 is just as nice as a k5 plus minus the flaws and good here and there

i like the thinking of devil98. who comes first gets his money. with due respect to k5, i think it is a good vehicle but what for want it if you only suffer?

actually both K5 and 508 i quite like... just 508 maintenance more exp than K5 thats why I not go for it. However if Kia can't keep their promise delivery my car on time, sorry I have place 1 more booking in 508 to secure myself rather than wait few more months, i dun wan listen anymore ur car can delivery tis week, next week etc...thats enuff, take note my K5 booking is mid April.

sad case 1st time buy Kia give me this kind of problem...
