What if I tell you that even by following the mass gainers' recommended serving, you MAY not be able to increase your weight.

What kinda bullshit argument u trying to make here?

You're neither advocating nor is against mass gainers. You're on top of a fence poking issues on both sides.

Yes, everyone including u and alien9 knows weight gain : calories in more than calories out. Arguing about whether mass gainers work is completely unnecessary

I'm just want to argue with him about this:

QUOTE(kevinwawa @ Jun 8 2012, 11:53 AM)
mass gainer not expensive
12lbs for RM 180 is ok.
dont consume as per instruction
just take the scoop from whey protein
and put 2 scoop is enough .. around 80g
1 morning and 1 at nite

then u can gain weight and 1 bag will last at least 2 months
cheap indeed.
plus u get vitamin etc etc.... from the prowder
*
How can even he recommend someone to take that kind of serving without even knowing how much calorie the person should take. For me, I'm reliable for every tips/trick/advices I give to other people.

Regarding grams of protein advertised as being in a basic protein powder (not a “formula” product like Muscle Milk or Syntha 6 which contains more fat and carbs). People always judge a protein powder by the number of advertised grams per serving: "This one only has 17 grams, it's not as good as this one that has 50 grams!" Wrong, wrong, wrong. Protein contains 4 calories per gram, that's how it's measured, meaning that it doesn't matter what the label says, they are using different scoop sizes and numbers of scoops per serving to get that advertised amount.

Since protein is 4 calories per gram, and scoop sizes are measured in grams, if you used a standard scoop size and quantity, you would get the same amount of protein regardless of the brand name (excepting minor variances for fat and carb content). Test this out yourself, the next time you're at the vitamin store, compare protein labels. Note the protein, carb and fat per serving. Now note the scoop size and how many scoops equal one serving. You will see that any label with a high advertised protein content is using a large scoop and probably 2 scoops a serving. A smaller scoop and serving amount corresponds to a protein with a lower advertised amount. Don't be fooled into thinking the 50 grams per serving product is better, they are using a very big scoop to give you that much protein! Base your choice on product quality!

It can be considered a pre-workout because of the energy blend from green tea and green coffee.

Don't really like it though. 5g of amino feels a bit too little and un-concentrated lol. But I guess you're also paying for the green tea energy blend.

If you're looking for a pre-workout, I'd suggest to get a proper one.
If you're looking for amino acids, there are better ones out there I guess.

Well, all this is just my opinion.

jack3d is currently being banned because of the 1,3-Dimethylamylamine issue.

Maybe up 1 more serving for Xtend? Lol
Yeah, you can try jack3d. Just that the 1,3DMAA ingredient in it is banned in the US now. So it's up to you.
Some people have used it for the past couple of years and are okay with it. Some don't. I've used it before, felt good though lol.

Found this while browsing the misc

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/lv?key=...many=true#gid=0

Some redditor did some test to find out actual protein content. Apparently Gaspari Myo has a pretty horrid percentage.

Note, no one knows the actual process of getting this results so take it with a pinch of salt

tried it. gives you a good boost while working out, being part pre workout and all. good tasting too to boot. but too little amino, extend is better though it doesnt have the pre workout oomph.

Would take it with a pinch of salt.
Anything can be put on google docs, unless the study/journal is given.
Wonder if there'd be an incoming law suit against that guys. If his results are false and defamotory then US laws goes all in.
Also he bases it on one scoop each given by random guy. I think the same size is too small.
But it's a good way of getting a months supply of proteinz laugh.gif

Edit: not sure if any changes on the doc made since i last saw it.

Plus , since the samples are provided by reddit / forum users , they could've tampered with it. Still the resulting Rich Gaspari meme's on misc are lulz
