Previously 12 months BT was offered by Public Bank at 0%. But the amount must be more than 3k (I think, can't remember the exact amount).  Only recently PB has withdrawn that.

The 12 month Balance Transfer offerred by Public Bank at 0% is for new approved CC and not for every public bank cc

CIMB $2,400.00
AEON $3,291.00
HSBC GOLD $8,765.81
HSBC PLAT $9,267.26

TOTAL: $23,724.07

which bank BT should i consider? Can I apply 2 BT under the same bank? Example, can I apply 2 Maybank CC with each credit limit $10k for BT, each CC i can BT $8k. Am i right?

Any other way and how can i do this?

Should I consider a Personal Loan?

Credit Limit between cards issued by the same bank is combined. e.g. You have 2 Maybank CC, their combined limit is RM10k.

For your purpose, you can apply for RHB or HLB card, BT your AEON outstanding there, and then balance transfer your HSBC & CIMB outstanding to AEON.

Just one example.

Just to add to this

1) Personal loan is last choice due to high interest rate
2) Not sure if this is the right term, but in principle you only have 1 BT "account" per bank irrespective how many different cards you have with the same bank

suggest that except AEON cc, the rest you BT to Aeon. The amount you owe Aeon i suggest you pay it off with cash

then apply other cc for BT purpose. I personally would suggest BSN although they don't have 0% BT because of low min BT amount requirement

Is there any early exit fees imposed on the BSN balance transfer programme for 24 months 0.375%
(0% for the first 12 months) min RM1,000?
If full payment is made on the 12th month, what are the consequences would BSN impose on card holder/ any hidden fees? (~purpose to entitle for 0% interest BT) ;-)

How much can you spend per month? Can you spend RM1000 monthly to pay the CC debt? If you can do so, you may consider applying for Public Bank card, and then apply for RM24000 balance transfer (24 months, 0% interest but 5% upfront fee). But that will only work, assuming you get a credit limit of at least RM30k with PB.

If you can't do so, then I guess your best option left would be to apply personal loan. If you're a government/GLC employee, you can apply for Bank Islam/Bank Rakyat personal loan, at a very low rate. For private companies, I'm not too sure.

Time for berjimat-cermat sikit la bro. rclxub.gif Use only debt that you can afford to pay.

5) BSN : 24 mths, 0% fee, 0.375% interest/mth w/ 0% last 12 mths, Min - RM 1k per bank, Valid Until : 30/4/2013 (but BSN say so far always auto extend)
Looks to me like this is the best BT deal around. Is there any catch or reasons why I shouldn't take this, other than the RM100 early settlement penalty?

TIA.
