funny how even 'higher ups' can mess their own rules up...
apa la...how you didn't see this coming? tongue.gif
boss, have some questions:-
- how much roughly does it cost to get a piece of gold assayed?
*
Sometimes, gotta give people some space to clarify mar.
Playing stupid and asking for clarification better than just poking right?
At the end of the day, noticed the clarified crux of the game?
The "buy-back", which is NOT guaranteed.
That is as good as a bank saying they may or may not honour their FD certificate and give U back your capital, in my simple mind lar.
NEXT!

BTW, that's ignoring all the BNM and Syariah thinggy. Just the logic of investing + risks involved to clarify.

ya, the buy-back is my next part of the research. Waiting for someone to reply edyek's post.

To be honest, I'm not bothering about the legal stuff coz they've been operating for many years and BNM can't do anything but post advertisements / online articles. This whole facade sounds fishy on BOTH ends.

oo even if GUARANTEED BUY BACK, just thinking how much is GENNEVA's capability to guarantee all its buy backs - ie. its capital vs these buy backs. Last i read was its a $50K paid-up company and no books audited and submitted till now. Again, that's the posting of a fellow forumer after ROC checking lar. Personally i've yet to check ROC (which was my next step if ada guaranteed buy back tongue.gif)

Genneva Malaysia is the third company. Previous company got sued. The court case is still there.

Ignoring the Syariah compliant thinggy... arrgh.. I was soooooo tempted until i saw the:
a. primarily - the non buy back guarantee
b. secondary - the two docs if true
Dang - what to do, illogical to execute especially without (a.) + chicken lar, i don't like the odds of gaining x% but losing 40%+/- if have hard time selling the bar sweat.gif
*
Lets say you buy at Rm100. They gift you Rm2 p month for 6 months. You git Rm12 back.
Then you wanna sell back to them....2 scenarios

a) POG went up . Most probably you donwanansell since its up-ing.
b) POG went dwon.....they agree to 15% price off the spot.........HEY! that lest than Jewellers woh!

In the end you keep ler and wait for that 25% by JEWELLERS. biggrin.gif

Just to let you know on one big secret:

Geneva is not investing in gold. It is a gold trading company. Meaning you buy and then sell gold with them.

The only difference is if you buy with Poh Kong or Tomei etc at market price....

With Geneva it is marked up 25% above market price.

Still want to have a go at it?

Xuzen.

makes sense. I heard that their accounts have been sent to BNM for auditing because BNM demanded it.

Well-said!

As at 14 August 2012, I can buy gold from UOB at RM163.6/gram (Gold savings account) or RM162.8/gram (Premier gold account) while Genneva is selling at RM204/gram which is 24.7% higher than the UOB Gold savings account.

Can the returns/hibah (or whatever you call it) justify the EXTRA 24.7% upfront?

To me, the party's over when the music stops. How much longer can the music go on? -> the firm has already changed name from Genneva Sdn Bhd to Genneva Malaysia to Genneva World (of course, they will say they are DIFFERENT companies) + all the warnings in major newspapers and from BNM.

All I can say is: "caveat emptor".

I am not talking only about Genneva but reality as a whole as well. I dont know you, but from what you wrote i have a feeling that you are a very unhappy person. Have you know all of life's secrets and make sense of everything? if not why go on living because life can be very mysterious and secretive you know. Life must have sucked for you huh??? You think too much already lar. Try to live life, not just inside your head.

Nothing under heaven is perfect. Nobody is asking you to sell your family for this. Don't throw the baby out together with the bath water.
Actually, I can sense the presence of hatred in your words above. Friend, don't hate, or it will ruin your day. Remember to love, even your enemy icon_rolleyes.gif

QUOTE(mindman @ Aug 14 2012, 02:52 AM)

The link is just definition of  "illegal deposit taking", where in the link got the words genneva? even if there is so, there are so many companies being investigated . Even Khairy Jamaluddin knows what is  called "guilty by association". Learn to seperate the wheat from the chaff. Investigate means guilty meh? what happened to good old "innocent until proven guilty"? If god dont judge me until i am dead, who have the right to judge me while i am alive?
Eddy, i was wondering whose mind is shut. Looking at your writeup you come across to me as an intelligent person, could it be possible you have interest in pretending to not understand?
*
I was wondering why Poh Kong, Tomei, Habib, Maybank, UOB etc are not in the Bank Negara warning list ? Is Tan Sri Zeti too free and woke up one morning and say "arrr....today is a good day to put Genneva's name in the list and let's see how they prove themselves not guilty ?". There must be a reason why your company's name is in the list. And they want to warn the public to be careful. Don't blame them, it is BNM's duty to do so

Like I said, fight Bank Negara and the Islamic Authority, not LYN (haiyoh....I said so many times already). And so far, only sengih is heading at the right direction. And if 1 day, Bank Negara and Islamic authority clear Genneva's name, I will seriously consider attending your talks. Like you say "you come across to me as an intelligent person" (Thank you ! laugh.gif ) so, I no stupid tongue.gif . As an investor, if the investment is legitimate, 24% return I will definitely go in.

BTW, I have no conflicting interest with Genneva's business. I am just a concerned investor asking difficult questions on an investment too good to be true icon_rolleyes.gif

Obviously they can't fight BNM, thats why they are fighting here @LYN .

They can't explained why the BNM Warning/Ads at major newspapers.
They can't explained why their gold is way overpriced.

Read from page 1 and it seems some of those consultants refuse to open up their mind and accept that their company is doing a ponzi scheme. wake up call.

In this thread I see so much beating around the bush but not enough of numbers.

Give me some numbers, let' do some maths to clear this up.

What say you pro-Geneva people?

Bring on your numbers and let us dissenting voice proof you wrong. And if we can't then your investment stand the test of objectivity.

Let the truth set us free.

better buy physical gold, alot of ppl doing it right now on facebook.

can check Gold Lot Shop on facebook, around 7k members, u buy physical gold for example like Kijang Emas from BNM, Maple leaf and Gold Kangaroo from UOB. all come with the receipt and can sellback to the bank itself. much easier. and lower spread.
