Isn't it OBVIOUS enough? It is even splashed on The Star today's headline:

77 companies blacklisted by Bank Negara
http://thestar.com.my/news/story.asp?file=...6655&sec=nation

Genneva Malaysia Sdn Bhd is Number 22 in the list:

If people still want to jump in, GOOD luck to them...

If BNM has BLACKLISTED an company, does that not make their biz illegal?  HELP!  icon_question.gif

I am not a lawyer...as such, I am sorry that I am unable to answer your query.

Anyway, the public warning serves its purpose. If potential investors prefer to be ignorant or gullible, it is their choice and $$$.

+1. LYN needs more people like you and WMK to educate the public to prevent more people from falling into such "financial traps". Do keep it up. thumbup.gif

After all the warnings from BNM, SC and the newspaper articles, if gullible people still want to take the "plunge" -> what else can we do?

Just to let you know on one big secret:

Geneva is not investing in gold. It is a gold trading company. Meaning you buy and then sell gold with them.

The only difference is if you buy with Poh Kong or Tomei etc at market price....

With Geneva it is marked up 25% above market price.

Still want to have a go at it?

Well-said!

As at 14 August 2012, I can buy gold from UOB at RM163.6/gram (Gold savings account) or RM162.8/gram (Premier gold account) while Genneva is selling at RM204/gram which is 24.7% higher than the UOB Gold savings account.

Can the returns/hibah (or whatever you call it) justify the EXTRA 24.7% upfront?

To me, the party's over when the music stops. How much longer can the music go on? -> the firm has already changed name from Genneva Sdn Bhd to Genneva Malaysia to Genneva World (of course, they will say they are DIFFERENT companies) + all the warnings in major newspapers and from BNM.

All I can say is: "caveat emptor".

A recent news from Poland. Hmmm??? (Pls note Amber Gold operates differently with no physical gold delivery and its undoing was investing in unrelated business)
