This is my 5th times to apply ASM fixed units, Here's my story today

I went to CIMB bank, and went to the counter to get ticket to try my luck on apply a registration for Amanah Saham 1Malaysia since the agents in ASNB building told me that i could try my luck after declaration for dividend, as he mentioned, the chance to open account will be high after declaration since there will be withdrawal during that announcement declared.

The CIMB banker told me to go RHB Bank since their bank is full of clients whose waiting their number, it was approximately 2 hour as the banker stated if I want to wait.

Then, I head to Opposite street for RHB bank, ended up, banker say no units available after waiting a period of time.

But RHB banker not even checked their list whether it available and directly told me there was no units. How come that banker know no units if he didn't checked, almost 5 times walk in, only once they checked for me. all they will just say, no units. Some more different branch each times! OMG!

They didn't asked anything then directly say no units, No commission earned so frustrated to check for customer, huh? the most angry part, they never check anything then just directly say, no units. How they will know some withdrawal their ASB account to sell their units and it available? vmad.gif mad.gif

Don't waste your precious time on "hunting" the AS1M or any other sold-out ASxx
There's better options in the market than giving money to Govt's biggest ponzi scheme.

If it reaches 10%, then what's the payout for ASB? 15%? Wont happen in the near future.

I manage to top ASM about less than RM500 tis morn, do u think if larger amounts there will be no opportunities? I was just trying my luck with some cash on hand, without expecting any units available. I asked them hw much units available, they said they need me to name the no. of units i want, and only then they key it in.. (I guess u can't know how much units available at moment). So after u give them ur decided units, they key in system and kept pressing the ENTER button, i think to refresh.. then suddenly they took out the deposit slip to enter my details, I was so surprised, did not expect any available. Hmm, those whose tellers tell them no units straight, might they be lying, maybe they did not even check the system?

Well, ponzi or otherwise, you must remember that these funds are somewhat secure as compared to other investments. It gives u a steady income without you having to constantly monitor it. Yes im well aware of the 'is it secure' arguments but then again is any investment secure and what are the risk factors? But yes i wouldnt park all my money in them but nevertheless its still a worthwhile investment to get some decent returns.

My earlier point is that.... don't waste time hunting for something people will not withdraw so often.
If you had invested (like ME), just keep on rolling the handsome dividends. I will invest more when officially there's increase in Fund size.

i fully second this. thumbup.gif

time flies without you realizing it. time wasted is equal to money lost in terms on investment, and more so in these compounded interest type of investment
