QUOTE(Leo the Lion @ Aug 26 2013, 01:37 PM) I thought can. If throw all the money from ASB to ASW2020 to get the ASW2020 dividend and throw it back to ASB to get ASB dividend it doesn't work that way. if not everyone would do that dividends for ASB and ASW2020 is calculated the same way. it is based on the lowest balance of the month. if you do that, you'll lose your august's ASB dividend, which is 0.67% (8% / 12 months) of your total lowest balance of august month and it won't matter if you add in 100k into your ASW2020 account in the middle of august. it will not be calculated into the dividend for that month. only current account gives you dividend / interest based on daily account balance This post has been edited by lucifah: Aug 26 2013, 01:44 PM |

QUOTE(Ancient-XinG- @ Aug 26 2013, 07:33 AM) - edited due to irrelevant posting, sorry if offended - yup.. that is the reason why i'm asking instead of the trouble go to bank or post office where they "tak layan", why not take around 5k or more and try it at PNB office? and by the way, afaik, opening ASB under ASNB agent is no hassle given that all the required documents are enough. |

If I were you, I go to other bank. Or You could go to Pos Office to register. Heard a lot of people successfully open their account there. |

I've made call to PNB office asking them about the possibilities to open ASB in post office or bank. According to their helpdesk, it is easier for me to straight come to HQ as they afraid that post office or bank don't know the procedure (since I'm convert and they might asked a lot of documents).Or You could go to Pos Office to register. They never asked or question me about only the person in the book can update the passbook. This post has been edited by navink: Aug 26 2013, 02:07 PM |

But it shouldn't be a problem if you go to the Post Office. I've tried to open my ASB account in the nearest branch for like 5-6 times but failed. Then I went to another branch that is far from my place and finally open my ASB account. Some bank worker are lazy. |

Based on my previous experience, very hard to get asw2020 after the dividend payment. Why? because a lot of people with the same thinking "others would withdraw" mentality would Q or wait the whole day "trying". also don't forget the "background transaction" activity.
