Useful stuff when you want a quick fix for something or just lazy to print replacements, it is also sold at RadioShack with the brand name of U Mold if you are around KL. By the way, its too expensive for its use.

Some images of what I used PCL for...

Yeah, bloody expensive.. interesting & cleaner alternative to putty though, as long as your application doesn't exceed 40 degrees. wink.gif

Coolmorph only need 42C and above to melt it, hence u got more time to mould your parts before it gets hardened. Is now available with 100g pack, you may try it out.

Yes, both from the same company, Polymorph needs higher temperature, as for Coolmorph is the new product with lower temperature.
More time to mould before it gets hardened.

guys, need your advice on filament size. What's the benefit of 1.75mm? I keep reading people praising 3mm

You mean your hotend or extruder gear or extruder motor worn out?

3mm filament
Advantages: more material available per length which leads to slower extrusion rate means less power for stepper motor.
Disadvantage: not Bowden tube compatible due to stiffer filament. Also, may have to make your axis steppers work more just to bend a stiffer filament around. Heat uniformity during extrusion is very poor.

1.75mm filament
Advantage: better heating uniformity, and can be extruded using Bowden tube. Easier to bend too. Impurities are easily visible from the thin filament.
Disadvantage: less material per length means more work for extruder motor, extruder motor will hit a speed limit when printing too fast.

I personally never used 3mm filaments before but still, I go for 1.75 mm because its more readily available in 1 kg spool than 3mm.

@feiming, Since you are selling M8 rods, I may want to buy off all of them once I get back to PJ this mid month.

Also, here is a video I just made about hooking up a 6 wire stepper motor to a 4 wire stepstick output.

In case you can't see it click here sweat.gif

How can you print a frame that's biggest than the platform? Or is this frame a smaller version?
