guys, i purchase a unit. spoken to mayland months ago, i think if you want to cancel the purchase for valid reason, you should be able to get full refund.
regarding your payment to legal firm, i think will be burned. i've spoken to mayland legal person, they confirm that mayland has a strong case. that's mean, they're positive that they're good to proceed with the project.

i haven't got a chance to speak to them to get their latest update. once i get it, will keep you guys updated. as you're all aware, many of the purchaser are actually local resident and they buy it for an investment. i even heard from bank that mayland is planning to rent all the unit again for long term charter. that's why you can hardly find groups discussing this matter.

cheers,
gchee

By long term charter do you mean ML will sub-let our unit? If so there will be a guarantee return for purchasers right?

Court decision will be out next month.

Of course u dont expect them to tell you otherwise rite? Im sure if u talk to the legal team for MPSJ, they will say the same thing that MPSJ stands a good chance to win the case. Just be prepared in case MPSJ wins the case. Dont just rely on 'salesman' talk from ppl. Always have a back-up plan.

Guys,

I've purchased a property here as well, long before I was aware of the underlying problems that come with it. I've signed the SPA and all the loan documents. Which means to say I've spent about 12K on getting all the documents and loans sorted. I receive a monthly statement from the bank I applied the loan from, and good news is there has not been any draw-down. The developer has not yet started to take money from the banks. What is important to know, I stepped into the sales gallery last month - people are still looking at the show-units and are showing interest to purchase although there has been so much uncertainty of late.

Any one has got updates on the court case and the status? Please update here. I'm quite positive this project will take off.

Guys,

I send an email to Mayland yesterday request to withdraw my purchase. Understood from the sales person that they also do not have the status of the project. It is still pending. They will refund if you cancel your purchase.

Cheers,

i signed the loan agreement myself. but bank will not withdraw the money before confirm the project is ON and not risky to the borrower.
hence, u don't really have to worry.
legal fees maybe burn. i checked this with the legal firm last time before i fully pay the fees.

i've read some article saying that if the project cancelled, mayland have to return the deposit + penalty. they may ended up paying us double from our initial downpayment. they should be responsible as the are aware of the approval and regulation. even if they do not pay the penalty, i think we can demand them to pay whatever losses.

i just send an email to mayland to ask about the project status again. if no feedback, i think i will oficially lodge a complaint.

I'm thinking to wait until August and make decision.

I hope you can update us when there is anything new. Thank you! smile.gif
