guys, any update? i've sent an email to Cheah, their person in charge, but no update.
was thinking of going to their office and getting their explaination. no update at all from news/blog/forum?

I called the salesperson 2 weeks ago and he said still no update from the board, and need to wait for probably another 2 months time to get updated.

He said I can emailed him if I want to cancel the purchase. According to him about half of buyers have already cancelled.

Not much help but I thought it would be nice to share anyway.

Is it better to cancel and get back the 5K now or just wait for them to announce officially project cancel and hope to get compensation?

i already paid the loan agreement fee. if cancel now, it burn.
but, if Mayland cancel their project. i also dont know can get back my loan agreement fee or not ??!!!

What they offer you for the unit?

pay RM5k booking fee.
3% for existing Mayland buyer
10% discount ....... (if not mistaken)

guys, just spoken to their legal person and was informed that MPSJ changed their initial statement of claim - hence causing more delay of the court verdict.
court hearing will be end of this year. i'm planning to just cancel my purchase and will communicate with their marketing people.

with this delay, i think lets cancel our purchase and demand for refund of whatever payment we've made.
if they fail to refund our loss, we can try to report this to tribunal and what not. Go ask any laywer if you happens to have any contact.

Initially I wanted to wait till the court verdict is out. That was before the general election but till now seems like its going to be delayed again. I have decided to cancel my purchase and get back my booking fees. Do I need to inform my bank to tell them that I want to cancel the loan?

Obviously looks big problem on selling hotel suite. Developer toothache now.

I am looking to cancel my purchase, in a way that I can get back my legal fee. I think the content of my letter will be important.

I just called Mayland HQ, spoke to them and according to them the latest from the top is that they are going to cancel the project. Booking fees will be refunded but loan agreement you need to write a letter of appeal to them and it will be a case to case basis. Don't they need to give us some form of compensation like x2 or x3 booking fee refund?

Ya, developer lose nothing, they will still be able to build the hotel...

What? You mean they will still go ahead with the hotel? This it terrible, I thought the whole issue is because of not enough parking and protest from residence nearby. Sigh...wasted 1 1/2 years of my time waiting for this.
