i have a question

lets say my credit card limit is RM 1000... zero consumption as of today

can i pay RM 3000 into my account... then swipe RM 4000 ?? or RM 3900 ?
*
No, I don't think so as this is credit card, not debit card.

Only 1k can be swip when u make a purchased, unless you have request for temp credit limit increase.

Depends on which bank you are talking about I guess, I personally have done it with Maybank and it is doable.

I have Standard Chartered World Miles card. When I first got it, the staff said annual fee and tax can be waived, every year. I just need to give them a quick call. I have been using it for 3 months. Don't know if it is really true. So far, no need to pay any annual or tax.

I did do a mini review of the SCB WorldMiles MC and other cards in my article titled My Son Is Going To The USA on Business Class Again in regards to Enrich Miles conversion. In this said article I pointed out that there is conflicting statement in SCB T&C. It is stated that annual fee is waived for first year but it also says that you agree to monthly fees once you sent them your Big Shot ID. And for your info the SCB WorldMiles MC does not have annual fee BUT monthly fee of RM15!!! So I guess the CS correct to say no annual fees, hahahaha

does anyone here have any knowledge of how to apply for a foreign credit card (Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia or Brunei)? will it be difficult?

I need info for future reference, because last week Star Cruises rejected my local card.

one question smile.gif

i am holding m2u 2 cards with me and planning to get one more credit card.. previously holding a hsbc but terminated it due to "rudeness" of the customer center...
My purpose / usage normally it would be on :

petrol rm 400 - 5oo per month
grocery transaction at giant / jusco / nsk
some paypal / online purchase transaction
insurance auto debit - already tight to my maybank card
flight purchase (airasia / mas / malindo)

Since i have the cash back of rm 50 from maybank, looking for another card to carry biggrin.gif
annual income > 60K

Any good recommendation on the next card i should take into consideration ? hmm i am thinking if ocbc titanium is good too biggrin.gif
thankyou

I don't see Y not, since RM3K is your own money and so U R only using the max RM1K credit when U swipe RM4K, but better give them a call 1st.

Yeah I know it's monthly fee. I specifically asked about that when I call the cs. I'm gonna wait till next year. If they still charge me for the fee or tax. Gonna terminate it. Hahaha

It applies to all normal OTC credit card and CNP online transactions. Might or might not include special kinds of transactions like instalments, balance transfers, cash advance, etc. Refer to your credit card T&C for the full definition that applies for your card.

That vessel is not under Star Cruises. Star Cruises have no problems with cards and even accept Amex. Maybe Amusement World uses overseas terminal and u need to activate overseas use for your card to work?

Yes, they said they would credit my card in SGD.

Citibank: CS says the company is labelled as for 'gambling', so under BNM rules they have to block it.

Maybank: Didn't even get through, so CS can't trace any rejected transaction.

both my M2 and citibank can't pay for online poker sites too (Fulltilt, Pokerstars).

always have to use Neteller

So I think it's not only the Islamic cards.

I shall be publishing my third annual Credit Card Ultimate Showdown soon. And in order to have a complete and fair evaluation of credit cards in the market, I had to go do some research on new credit cards that were not reviewed by me prior to October 2013. So after some serious elimination process (as if, haha), the cards I have selected that deserve to be reviewed are the CIMB Cash Rebate Platinum MasterCard versus Citi PremierMiles American Express versus Citi Prestige MasterCard Master Elite vs. Hong Leong Bank Wise Visa vs. RHB Visa Signature and Standard Chartered Bank WorldMiles MasterCard.

And in this said article, you will also get to see the coolest card on planet earth that is recognized throughout our universe and beyond biggrin.gif

I also credited sifu MilesAndMore for his guidance; and, I as usual my articles are full with errors or mistake, and I appreciate if you guys could highlight some of them notworthy.gif notworthy.gif notworthy.gif

My very first Credit Card Ultimate Showdown was published back in May 2011 at My Credit Cards blog, click the link below to read the article in my dark and mysterious realm (where I started my wasting time blogging career for FREE):

Malaysia Top Ten Credit Cards - Ultimate Showdown 2011

Prior to September 2012, many members here, e.g. ronnie and gerradling (by the way where is gerradling?), were complaining they had headaches after visiting my dark realm. After much nagging from them, I was lead to the bright white light where I started publishing all my articles at a single blog called Generations XYZ, www.generationsxyz.blogspot.com. And my second Credit Card Showdown followed me to this "new" main blog. Click link below to read my Credit Card Ultimate Showdown 2012:

No, but what you mentioned is like you getting a Supplementary Card where the Principal Card holder is responsible for your debt(s).

Well, what you need to do is go persuade the person who is willing to stand as your Guarantor to go and apply for the Maybankard 2 Cards and then issue you a Supp card.

Example, years ago, when my son turned 18 years old (he entered Uni at age 17 years old), I issued two credit cards to him (got the application forms pre-signed before he left for the US after his Christmas break and on the day of his 18th birthday I submitted the application). Now he has CIMB World MasterCard, MBB 2 Plat Cards and MBB Visa Infinite and with the total combined credit limit from these cards, he can go get himself a Audi or BMW or a Ford Mustang in the USA and I got to pay for it!!!

And last year he did use his Supp Visa Infinite to purchase a used sports car, click here to read my article My Coupe and My Son's Sports Card Paid with My Credit Cards.
