Hi, what is the procedure for reversing credit card charge for online purchase? What is the success/failure rate for these? I know in other countries it's fast and efficient, but then this is a different country.

QUOTE(timeofchaos1 @ Oct 3 2013, 01:52 AM) if i apply the credit card but not successful, is there any way to know the reason from the credit card company? No, the Bank X Reveal the Reason at less You Write in Request to do so... Mostly, is the Income Requirement X meet they Need or Your Salary too Low so kena Tendang... So, Have Wait about 6 months later baru can Apply again with the Same Bank Anyway in Between of that, You can Try Apply with Others Bank... Just because 1 Financial Institutions turns down Your Credit Apps... for instance, this X mean Others Bank will do the Same as the Banks' Respective Policies may Vary based on their Risk Appetites... Hello there people, I am planning to apply for my first ever credit card and I am keen on Citibank. Based from what I read here, their benefits seem to be the most decent one.
What I would like to confirm is:- (a) is the minimum income still RM24,000.00 per anum (2k a month); and (b) for a first time applicant, is it better to apply directly to the bank (my office is nearby their Jalan Ampang HQ) or are those roadshows at malls and office buildings an equally effective method of applying for one? Also, they would require the usual identification document and three months pay slip as I have been made to understand. Do they require anything else? Thanks guys. Cheers! |

Income Submission Guide for Credit Card Application (Citibank) : What I would like to confirm is:- (a) is the minimum income still RM24,000.00 per anum (2k a month); and (b) for a first time applicant, is it better to apply directly to the bank (my office is nearby their Jalan Ampang HQ) or are those roadshows at malls and office buildings an equally effective method of applying for one? For Fixed Salary Earners, *Latest 1 Month Computerized Pay Slips OR *Latest Computerized EA Form (dated within the Last 12 Months) OR *Latest EPF Statement (dated within the Last 12 Months) OR *Latest Borang BE with LHDN Receipt (or Proof of Tax Paid) For Non-Computerized Income Documents, it is Advisable to Provide more than 1 Income Document (eg. Bank Statements, EPF, EA) to Show Salary Received. a) with Higher Income >RM2000 will have better Chances to get Card Approval... b) No Different but apply at the mall maybe got Free Signup Gift.... If need any Appeal on Rejection more EZ coz sales agent will follow up for You coz they want to Earn Card Sales Commission... c) 3 months Payslips, Ic & Latest EPF Printout (now You can Apply just with Ic & EPF Printout only, as long Your EPF contribution based on Your Salary Pay min.RM2000 = RM220) This post has been edited by fly126: Oct 3 2013, 06:33 PM |

Hi guys I got a few questions here...it's simple questions but I m new to credit card haha
1. Let's say my bill comes on 3rd this month. The due date will be on 23rd Oct. I made full payment on 8th. So if i use my credit card now..my due date will be 23rd this month or next month? 2. Let's say I bought RM 1000 stuff. I paid 500 first month. So is the interest counted as below? The outstanding/left balance would be 500 as well 500 * (15/12)% = ? So the amount I need to pay the next month will be the above interest plus the 500. Correct? |

The thing to note is your have to pay in full the amount stated in your Statement issued on Statement Date prior to the Due Date to avoid interest being charged.1. Let's say my bill comes on 3rd this month. The due date will be on 23rd Oct. I made full payment on 8th. So if i use my credit card now..my due date will be 23rd this month or next month? 2. So the amount I need to pay the next month will be the above interest plus the 500. Correct? 2. Yes and No. Some cards will charge you interest for the RM1K from the day of the transaction because you have utilized the credit limit and failed to make full payment. You may also be imposed interest charges on new transaction too. TO ALL: Yesterday I read a report about people getting into financial difficulties and that BNM in collaboration with the Education Ministry will introduced financial education to Year 3 students next year and secondary schools in 2017. So I inked my thoughts and came out with an article titled Avoid The debt Hole by Getting FREE Financial Education From Me (click here to read it). The above said article covers numerous subjects relating to credit cards, credit card newbies should take my FREE Credit Card Tuition to avoid being tricked into the debt hole and also how Citibank increased my credit limit without my consent to entice me to sign up for their loan products. |

The due date for transaction XYZ will be on ~23-Nov.Since you are still new, it is good to clear the statement balance early but as you become more knowledgeable, you may try doing it nearer to the dude date. For example, if my due date is 23-Oct, I will clear the statement balance on 19-Oct. Shall let others answer your 2nd question. |

But what if I could not make full payment? Oh mine is public bank gold card. Not sure they charge interest on outstanding balance or on the moment of transaction itselfSince you are still new, it is good to clear the statement balance early but as you become more knowledgeable, you may try doing it nearer to the dude date. Not sure they charge interest on outstanding balance or on the moment of transaction itself Unfortunately I cant answer this as I got no knowledge on how the calculation works. Try reading the last page of your statement on the calculation mechanism |
