I was visiting at the hospital SJMC nearby for nearly a week, didnt have opportunity to visit that shop. pusing once around the SS15 ( I think) octagon I couldnt find it so I gave up.....stressed with the hospital visit and all.
bad ass AND badass are two different things la butthead.
anyway....
An interesting exchange between Cancellara, Cav and journalist
The press conference on Tuesday was almost as interesting as the sprint finish to Tournai. Cancellara came into the pressroom to respond to questions and then Cavendish joined in. The last question to Cancellara perked ears.
Journalist: “Is your team or the others envious of Sky?” Fabian Cancellara: “What’s so special? Their cars? The nice helmets? I don’t know, you have to tell me, I don’t know.” J: “The level of detail. For example, how we see them warming down. You don’t see other teams doing that.” FC: “Warming down?” J: “Yes, cycling outside the bus.” FC: “Ah, rollers (he pronounced it ‘Rulers’ – ed)!” J: “Yeah, cooling down.” FC: “No, I’m not jealous now. First, that’s most important, you have to do in what you believe and in what you think is best for you. They just do what’s best for them and I do what’s best for me. What I’m going to do now? I don’t know, maybe go swim, go on my rollers or I’ll go jumping around, I don’t know. Everyone has his best way. What matters in the Tour is recovery, recovery, recovery. We have a nice cook who does a great job. Every night we get high-level food. We have our soigneurs. I saw 10 teams in the Tour de Suisse doing rollers after the race, but you have to keep doing what you believe in. That’s important.”
Cavendish comes into the room.
MC: “Can I ask, who asked that last question?” J: “Me” MC: “You’re banned from asking questions to me. That’s mental! You’re banned from asking questions.”
aiyoh.. apa diflens? dun tell me bad ass is an ass that went bad?
mark cavendish is either proving that he is a real bad ass / badass (see miaopurr, now i'm confused)... or he is really annoyed by journalist dishing out obviously stupid questions...
either way... my most favorite confrontational interview of all times...
lance vs kimmage...
Lance: you are not worth that chair that you are sitting in...
i didn't know until i watch the video that a person sitting in a chair has to be worth it before squeezing his pimpled ass onto a chair...
i must be only worthy of sitting on a 3V pvc chair then?

I would be running an 'L' sized frame.....doubt it would be any where near 7.8kg.
Plus I would replace the new groupset with a barely used one to sell. might even sell the rims since I have a brand new set of Fulcrum training wheels.
i guess cavendish was annoyed at the journalist for trying to provoke cancellara.the journalist couldn't ask cancellara (maillot jaune) if he had anything against sky team wearing yellow helmet. so the journalist asked a different question, but obviously tyring to fuel cancellara.
my guess

Lance handled the news con like THE MAN. Until you have suffered in a competition with your 'competitors' one would not have the understanding of the camaraderie among 'men'/women/people/genral public/half breeds/inbreds etc etc.

the journalist is also another nut... does he not know fabian is not really an impulsive person... and i think fabian is really good at handling the media.. although not with authority... but he can manage them well..
Wiggins on the other hand might joke around with the media to avoid questions.... like the time they asked if he will be switching from Garmin to Sky... and he answered that he is also considering switching his GPS to TomTom (rival GPS to garmin)...
Cav is kind of a raging bull if you hit him in the right spot.. else, he is quite a cool guy as well...
and i think my fav is Cadel... it didn't happen a lot... but i think it was a year he was under immense pressure
i understand why he is angry after his silence lotto team totally all fell asleep and failed to protect him unlike team CSC... can't blame the dude...
and this.. i think was in 2008 when he crashed quite heavily and injured his shoulder and this asswipe which i am not sure was reaching for the lion doll or was he trying to intimidate evans by grabbing his injured shoulder...
also caught head butting someone...
fighting on the bike
darn funny... sure there are lots of other fisticuffs.. but this are the pros some of us might admire...
armstrong had his moments too... in 2010.. lemme look for it...
found it... 2010 stage 16 where he pulled an entire group over a couple of mountain passes for them to outsprint him to the line...
not sure if that was intentional... but he did looked pissed off.. radioshack should have given the riders a honk on the bike... sure they have triple A powered electric ones....

well... that is why they call him "the boss"... if you had read his books, it's not about the bike and every second counts and other like lance armstrong war... you will know that he is an information obsessed nut who needs to know every detail and conversation about him...
i think he cares about his image quite a lot... and for someone to bad mouth him.. he is going to go down...
and not to mention the 2009 astana internal conflicts between him and contador....
this tell lots about him... the only person with enough balls to push that self promoting devil into the snow bank...

as an ultra runner, we were made known that Chair is the biggest supporter in the DNF in making!
in future, u wont see a chair provided during a truly ultra running event in the checks points.
haha... they need a "motivator" like that TV game show on AXN...
or just place a big nail at the check point... sit if you dare..

Whats the damage with the 3D rotors anyway ? .
why would you want to go through all the pain of swapping out the stuff on the new bike... and i doubt your fulcrum training wheels, most probably R7 or R5 is lighter than that set of Xero's that is provided...
i mean your intention is to buy a lighter bike in the first place...i think it'll be a waste of money buying that bike this way unless your barely used groupset is a set of SRAM Force and above or a set of DA9700...
that bike was built to be light in the first place and for that price... it is considered paying through your nose for an aluminum bike...
might as well just ask if they can just acquire the frame set for you if it is possible...
rotor 3d crankarms are about RM1k... just crankarms not including the rings... the oval rings are another couple hundred bucks... should be safely in by RM2k with some spare change...

i called him before he went in singapore... not when he is there.. after he screw me for causing him to kena roaming charges...think he has no internet over there now...
as far as i know, they will not be completing the return journey on bike... his buddy twisted his ligament or tendons en route to johor and wasn't in the best of conditions to be riding all the way back...
taking a bus back as far as i know...
touring is not that easy, especially when your partner doesn't ride as much as you do... and you are hauling kilos more than your usual riding weight up hills and who knows what on the road for hours at end...
not saying it ain't do-able... but, not easy... if i were to be riding in france during spring or fall.. i'd say that is fun... in malaysia, in this kinda heat and dusty weather.... no way, jose...
Added on July 6, 2012, 9:57 amvoted sagan yesterday due to a slight uphill finish and the dingbat crashed...
voted cav the day before yesterday and he crashed...

he got hurt most probably trying to mucle his way up a small incline and hurt himself in the process...
his friend is just not used to the extra duress of long distance cycling la... most furthest also go sempah with us only and he starts from HOA while we start from home...
1st leg from home to malacca already hit them with more than 10 hours in the saddle already... with wrong turnings and road closures on the smaller roads heading up malacca...
good luck on not wearing yourself out before the event...

interesting... looking forward Hianboy's journey to SG report.... that's if he want to let us know...
it's going to be "slow" constant 30KM/hr speed to PD... via Salak Tinggi and Lukut... some rolling hills involved.
When i can have the honour and opportunity to ride with you?

btw, KOM is schedule on 14 Oct 2012!
he is a cam whore... i bet he will have tons of pictures to post in FB... whether he will write up or not... i dunno la...
30kph is quite fast considering there is a full out event the next day... but, maybe you have a large group to distribute the loads...
dun say honour la... you think i am some cycling legend meh... i am just another bunghole sitting in front of a computer taping away on his boogers stained keyboard and ride only on the weekends if i am not busy scratching my rambutans... just make a booking with my non-existential sexytary and she'll set you up...
oopssss... she is slacking off at her desk.. guess she is getting some warning letter later... i know she's pretty.. and you can't control the snake in your pants... just dun hit on her... she's mine.. all mine...
KOM... i am King of Molehills... hills no longer than 50 meters...so no need to find who is king already...
King of Mountains... another story... where this time? cameron again... last year didn't take part.. .but accompanied friend to recon the route weeks before the event... have to pace him up at the lower slopes... and boy, did i regret doing that at high pace... suffered like shit the last 1/3 of the climb... while he rocketed away having spend no more energy than spitting a loogie for most of the way...
