If the problem cos you flash kernel, then just flash another kernel you know is ok. No need to flash a whole rom.

From the leaked roms, yes, the multitask menu is brought up using the home button.
*
Quite the bummer

ICS focus was quick multitask, having a dedicated button is faster than holding down the darn home button tongue.gif

Yeah, I agree. I guess they want to maintain continuity with Gingerbread for mainstream users. I've been using the home button a lot in ICS (multitasking etc); I worry I may be wearing it too much. Starting to feel less responsive these days after about a month of ICS haha.

Yeah. ICS aside, guess they have to maintain the general operation of S2 for current users. Not everyone so savvy and adapt to new usage if they change it laugh.gif

That's my worry, and my main problem with S2. I hate physical buttons at the bottom

Was actually hoping some custom ROM dudes would change the menu button to dedicated multi-tasker.

Then they'll probably need to have a settings quick button somewhere in notification pulldown, just like stock ICS laugh.gif

You can flash kernel separately. Don't have to be together with ROM.

You hate physical buttons? shocking.gif i totally love the home button, not a fan of capacitive buttons. I heard can enable nexus on screen buttons on s2 too, but need do some editing. I remember slekerz uses on screen buttons the last time he post a screenshot of his s2 running ics.

As for me, not a fan of on screen buttons. Im used to touching bottom of screen for spacebar, wonder if any nexus accidentally hit home instead of spacebar or not hmm.gif

I still on prepaid plan. Last year September when I bought s2, I downloded speedtest app to try Maxis speed. After 1 speed test, RM50+ gone because of super expensive data price  mad.gif
Nice. Can you post a simple review of 3M Estoc+ VS SGP ultra fine?
*
Actually before this, I was using SGP Ultra Optics (not Ultra Fine).

Comparing 3M Estoc + versus SGP Ultra Optics....okay, my personal opinion:

Pricing: 3M Estoc a bit more expensive and DIFFICULT to get.

Clarity and brightness on screen : 3M Estoc is slightly better than Ultra Optics

Reflection: 3M Estoc a bit more reflective

Anti-fingerprint property: 3M Estoc slightly better than Ultra Optics

Touch and feel: Both about the same. When it is new, both has a bit of "chit chit" sound and stick to finger a bit...over time, it became smoother with Ultra Optics....as for 3M Estoc, I only use 2 days...cannot comment yet....but the overall feeling is still quite nice and smooth (ignoring the slight "chit chit" sound)

Adhesion of screen protector on phone: Ultra Optics slightly better. For 3M Estoc, the part near the speaker cut out area doesn't stick 100%...but it could be due to my SGS2 older now, collected more dust over the last 8-9 months..haha...but the rest of the ares stick very well....not a single dust or bubble...

Overall conclusion: I would say I prefer 3M Estoc + a bit more for now.....

Thanks for your review, too bad no thank button in this forum.
I always forget the SGP modal naming, I was actually mean Ultra Optics but "ultra optics" sounds like a ultra crystal clear protector. rolleyes.gif

Will probably get SGP as it's cheaper with only small difference.

When I clear memory in task manager there's certain app I want to exclude so the system won't close it like radio that running in the background and Magic Locker. Is there anyway I can accomplish this using stock apps?

Haha preference I guess.

Nah don't want on screen with the wasted space at the bottom, my sentiments about Nexus tongue.gif

I like One X, large screen with buttons occupying bottom space. The more screen the happier I am (yes I know you're gonna say go get Note lol)

Woot his last one on GB. Give us feedback if bagus, maybe weekend I flash it smile.gif

CODE
this will be the last GB kernel release of SiyahKernel. If there is a bug in config interface I may update it (even without changing the version) but the kernel files will no longer be updated.

Let's see what his final GB kernal file brings us

Well so far everything is working great. But dun expect too much, basically he just do minor stuff. The major one is make it configurable through xan's app later. This way each user can modify their kernel settings (dunno this is a good idea or not. rolleyes.gif )

Previously you need to use scripts so now there is an app for it.
