I'm about to flash to custom here but only need to clear some more few things here because confused with this post.

I'm trying to flash a new kernel to my phone but in Win7 it said can't install driver or something when in download mode and Odin can't detect my phone. I tried using CWM mode but somehow the superatmos .tar file isn't showing up either even I already have put it in the internal sd card. Cause and solutions, guys? Mine G version btw.

oh, pardon my noobness. Somehow after all this reading of the guidelines I still can't somehow manage to grasp the understanding of this flashing kernel and roms. Sigh~

I there anyway I can make the Win7 detect the phone in download mode? because in normal mode it can connect to computer using usb debugging just fine.

Ok, thanks guys. Installing Kies now. Hopefully it works. Btw, to flash custom say superRom in CWM do we need to do the wipe data thing before hand? and how long does it normally take?

Not the wiping but flashing the rom? I tried to do one earlier but it stuck somewhere 15-20% and I aborted by by rebooting the phone. Might give it a try one more time after I finished flashing this superatmos kernel.

I'm in CWM righ now and I don't see that option. All I got is reboot system now, apply update from sd card, wipe data/factory reset, wipe cache partition. So the wipe data/factory reset will work the same I guess?

No. But I do installed ROM Manager and my phone is rooted. Atm, flashing superatmos kernel using Odin. Say, how long does it normally take and where is the PASS gonna showed up if successful? right now on the message box I see it stuck setup connection for quite sometime.

I try to buy it earlier but payment failed. I guess I don't have enough credit on my debit card and at this of month I kinda can't afford it actually.

unsuccessful I guess. Almost half an hour still not finishing flashing the kernel. Rebooted already. Now searching at youtube how to flash custom ROM using odin.

I couldn't find the lite version. Only pro showed up and I don't have enough dough in my debit card to purchased it.

Yesterday downloaded odin mobile and manage to flash to superatmos kernel. But somehow I can't flash ROM. I tried to flash superROM I got from here. But when I try to open the file in odin mobile it says 'partition could not be found in file'. What does that mean? Any guidelines on how to properly flash ROM using this Odin Mobile?

Before this already tried a few times using CWM but it always stuck around 15~20%. I watch youtube tutorial it said to be done around 10~15 minutes only. But mine stuck around 15~20% for half an hour.

The zip file not corrupted, that's for sure. I can extract all files inside just fine. Emm, how to turn it to tar file?

Hmm, maybe not. I'm not entirely sure. I just open ROM manager and select boot into recovery. Just now I tried to do it again but somehow it different menu from before and try to flash the rom once again but immediately after it started it stop saying installation aborted. Atm, trying to download the rom zip file again just to be sure.

Ok, tried new step to flash ROM. Open ROM manager, pick install ROM from SD, choose superROM v1 .zip then proceed. The phone reboot, some progress bar appear but only abruptly because suddenly triangle with exclamation mark showed up. Thoughts, advices?

ok, my GS2 currently stuck at the model name screen. Can't proceed whatsoever. Anyone know how to flash it back to stock rom or any rom through odin? can only enter download mode atm

Added on February 29, 2012, 12:01 amArghh, couldn't find stock rom anywhere on Google. Almost all link on multiupload and my browser can't open it. Too long to respond. Anyone got stock rom .tar? Mind sharing it at mediafire or something?

last night I kinda messed my phone up. Can only go to download mode thus can only flash back to stock rom using odin. All is well now. Currently using SuperROM v1 with Superatmos v2.1 kernel. Flash the rom using backup and restore in CWM. But my CWM a bit weird though. Right now having trouble flashing to latest superROM version. When I click reboot to recovery in ROM manager apps, then the phone reboot, there's a some kind of progress bar in flash then android bot with triangle above appeared. I have to click the power button for quite some time to reboot the phone again before the phone goes into CWM properly this time. It happen every time. Does anyone know what's wrong?

One more, I want to flash to lucifer kernel using Odin lite. Do I have to flash to stock kernel first or can I just go straight flashing it from superatmos kernel I'm using now?

Added on February 29, 2012, 9:32 amweird..the problem still persist though now on a different splash image. Already on lucifer kernel atm. Pick reboot into recovery. Reboot, phone model name splash image (below it a yellow triangle with exclamation mark), then some boot animation image I guess and then a dying bot with red triangle exclamation mark. And it stuck there until I hold on to power button for the phone to reboot in CWM again.

Looks like I have to do this later when I got back home. I don't have any rom file in my phone and I don't have a usb cable to transfer new one to my phone.
