Ok, now i think i need to ask another myvi owner about a problem that i'm facing rite now..
1st) I got a situation when my central lock didn't auto lock when i press the brake.. Example scenario happens; when i pay a toll by open up the door, after that the door remains unlock eventhough i press brake many times.. Evrything seems good at early,i press brake, it locks.. But after on road for a while, this thing happens.. 2nd) When i got into car, sometimes the light didn't auto lights-up. Or it will be On after a while (kdg2 lame gak tunggu..haha).. Is it normal like that? Does anyone facing the same problem? |

QUOTE(DET_D5t @ Mar 7 2012, 06:02 PM) Ok, now i think i need to ask another myvi owner about a problem that i'm facing rite now.. Try checking with erm..how to say~1st) I got a situation when my central lock didn't auto lock when i press the brake.. Example scenario happens; when i pay a toll by open up the door, after that the door remains unlock eventhough i press brake many times.. Evrything seems good at early,i press brake, it locks.. Is it normal like that? Does anyone facing the same problem? The rubber thing on the chassis beside seats one that when pressed it u wont see the "door signal light" ON although with door open..*hope u get what I mean* That thing sometime will..not smooth~so when door opened the thing does not pop-up and ur car will consider u never open ur door before. Therefore problem no.1 will occur, since ur car does not detect ur door opened so after u closed the door and hit the brake also wont auto lock back. For the problem no.2 is also same reason, the thing dint pop-up then the light wont on. =) |

Fellow LB owners, does your car produce faint knocking sound/noise (in engine compartment) when you accelerate between 1st and 2nd gear? The sound resembles somewhat like you are hitting a empty hollow plastic bottle with a stick. This particular sound is starting to annoy me a lot.

ok, i need to check with you myvi owners on some noises that I'm starting to hear on my 2 weeks old car. Not sure if I'm being paranoid or what.
1. When I press the Aircond button, I hear a loud "tak" sound, followed by the normal aircond humming sound. This "tak" sound is not the usual aircond clicking sound though. I notice it only happens when my car is parked under the hot sun for hours. When i off the aircond and press again to hear the sound, I don't hear it anymore. This has happened since the past few days. I didnt experience this during the 1st week. 2. When I pressed the brake, I hear clicking sound coming from the gear knob. Is this normal? This is my first time owning an Auto car. I also hear some other sort of like "click" noises coming from either the dashboard or under car but it's intermittent. Are these normal? Hope to get some replies. This post has been edited by audy: Mar 7 2012, 08:50 PM |

Finally, I'm experiencing this weird sound and I've researched on the Internet and it seems several people are having similar issues. I read some comments before I purchased my car and I was kinda aware of this problem and recently I'm hearing it as well.
http://forum.autoworld.com.my/index.php?s=...dpost&p=1788044 : The part where he said "bila berhenti kereta pastu tekan minyak nak jalan balik keluar pula bunyi kluk-kluk-kluk...hilangnya bila dah laju sikit..." is exactly what I'm experiencing but not sure if it goes like kluk-kluk-kluk but the symptoms are the same. http://forum.autoworld.com.my/index.php?s=...dpost&p=1708035 : He said there's a weird sound when rev at 2k RPM, might be similar to what I'm experiencing. The sound only happens with very light acceleration, you accelerate harder or if the car goes faster then the sound is gone. This is quite disturbing as I do not hope it has anything to do with the engine components. |

It's really annoying especially when you are caught in a traffic jam. I've reported (and went to service centre) this matter and according to them (one service personal attended to me), it is something to do with the switch. And it seems like it is known problem which they have not found any solution to it. http://forum.autoworld.com.my/index.php?s=...dpost&p=1788044 : The part where he said "bila berhenti kereta pastu tekan minyak nak jalan balik keluar pula bunyi kluk-kluk-kluk...hilangnya bila dah laju sikit..." is exactly what I'm experiencing but not sure if it goes like kluk-kluk-kluk but the symptoms are the same. http://forum.autoworld.com.my/index.php?s=...dpost&p=1708035 : He said there's a weird sound when rev at 2k RPM, might be similar to what I'm experiencing. If we know what switch is that, at least can have a shot at figuring out what is wrong with it. I think it happens to both 1.3 and 1.5 right. |

I think it happens to both 1.3 and 1.5 right. He showed it to me. It involves two components; one situated at the front end of the engine (near the radiator) and another is attached at the body of the car (directly opposite of the radiator). Both of them are connected with a hose. So, the former is the switch which works 'extremely' hard (during initial acceleration stage) and it causes the latter to have an impact which is translating to the annoying sound... or something like that. I don't know whether the person was bullshitting or not but that's what he said. Furthermore, according to him, he said that the sound does exists when we are driving but the sound of the engine somehow blankets it making us think that it only happens during the beginning. And do you know what's more surprising? He mentioned that the older Myvi does have the same problem. I was like "wtf?!" BTW, the service centre I asked is located in USJ1 (behind Summit). So perhaps, you should get an another better explanation from other service centre for verification purpose. |

Seems that many of us are facing the ever-usual QC problems. My 2 week old manual gets a lot of vibration from the clutch/brake pedals and gear stick, with slight difficulty to engage into gear. Worse of all the reverse gear, no matter how slow you shift in and how deep you press the clutch, always causes a grinding sound.1. When I press the Aircond button, I hear a loud "tak" sound, followed by the normal aircond humming sound. This "tak" sound is not the usual aircond clicking sound though. Hope to get some replies. My car came with the alignment off - steering is off-center to drive the car straight. goliath, as your car and mine is about the same age I'll try to listen closely the next time I drive. Does it happen in the morning or after a long drive? audy, if the click sound is coming from behind/under your cluster meters I suggest taking having the SC to take a look, as IINM there's a batch of defects that causes a sound from it. Try looking a few pages back. |
