If you look thoroughly, you will see black water stains/marks in the photo above. Any idea how to get rid these stubborn/tough stains from my bonnet?

Fellow LB owners, does your car produce faint knocking sound/noise (in engine compartment) when you accelerate between 1st and 2nd gear? The sound resembles somewhat like you are hitting a empty hollow plastic bottle with a stick. This particular sound is starting to annoy me a lot.

QUOTE(OKLY @ Mar 7 2012, 08:48 PM) Finally, I'm experiencing this weird sound and I've researched on the Internet and it seems several people are having similar issues. I read some comments before I purchased my car and I was kinda aware of this problem and recently I'm hearing it as well. That is what I have been experiencing for quite some time. It's really annoying especially when you are caught in a traffic jam. I've reported (and went to service centre) this matter and according to them (one service personal attended to me), it is something to do with the switch. And it seems like it is known problem which they have not found any solution to it. http://forum.autoworld.com.my/index.php?s=...dpost&p=1788044 : The part where he said "bila berhenti kereta pastu tekan minyak nak jalan balik keluar pula bunyi kluk-kluk-kluk...hilangnya bila dah laju sikit..." is exactly what I'm experiencing but not sure if it goes like kluk-kluk-kluk but the symptoms are the same. http://forum.autoworld.com.my/index.php?s=...dpost&p=1708035 : He said there's a weird sound when rev at 2k RPM, might be similar to what I'm experiencing. The sound only happens with very light acceleration, you accelerate harder or if the car goes faster then the sound is gone. This is quite disturbing as I do not hope it has anything to do with the engine components. |

QUOTE(OKLY @ Mar 7 2012, 11:21 PM) Did they tell you what switch is that? If we know what switch is that, at least can have a shot at figuring out what is wrong with it. I think it happens to both 1.3 and 1.5 right. He showed it to me. It involves two components; one situated at the front end of the engine (near the radiator) and another is attached at the body of the car (directly opposite of the radiator). Both of them are connected with a hose. So, the former is the switch which works 'extremely' hard (during initial acceleration stage) and it causes the latter to have an impact which is translating to the annoying sound... or something like that. I don't know whether the person was bullshitting or not but that's what he said. Furthermore, according to him, he said that the sound does exists when we are driving but the sound of the engine somehow blankets it making us think that it only happens during the beginning. And do you know what's more surprising? He mentioned that the older Myvi does have the same problem. I was like "wtf?!" BTW, the service centre I asked is located in USJ1 (behind Summit). So perhaps, you should get an another better explanation from other service centre for verification purpose. |

QUOTE(colinwong89 @ Mar 8 2012, 12:35 AM) Seems that many of us are facing the ever-usual QC problems. My 2 week old manual gets a lot of vibration from the clutch/brake pedals and gear stick, with slight difficulty to engage into gear. Worse of all the reverse gear, no matter how slow you shift in and how deep you press the clutch, always causes a grinding sound. You have to drive for awhile before the sound appears. Give it around 10 mins or more...My car came with the alignment off - steering is off-center to drive the car straight. goliath, as your car and mine is about the same age I'll try to listen closely the next time I drive. Does it happen in the morning or after a long drive? audy, if the click sound is coming from behind/under your cluster meters I suggest taking having the SC to take a look, as IINM there's a batch of defects that causes a sound from it. Try looking a few pages back. QUOTE(ccy1989 @ Mar 8 2012, 01:03 AM) Okay guys , means i am not alone having this problem as well, yes is seriously very annoying whenever you stucked in a jam, stop in a traffic light after that when you tried to accelerate slowly there will this sound "kluk kluk kluk" come out when the RPM is below 1.5k...fed-up man You have to drive your car before the sound appears. Take the service man for a spin and let him hear while you're driving. |

I have yet to try playing MP3 songs from the USB port. Is the quality any better than the Bluetooth?

QUOTE(Area51SE @ Mar 19 2012, 11:17 PM) Yeap, they take complains quite seriously I think because I have complained about something once but sending an Online Complain to them. The next day they called me up Ok. I have written to them (via online) about that damn annoying 'kluk kluk kluk' sound. I hope you guys, who are having the same problem, bombard them with your complaints as well. PS. : The weird thing is that after I pressed the 'Submit' button, it took me back to the main page without any 'Thank you, we have received your enquiry....' note. |

QUOTE(colinwong89 @ Mar 20 2012, 01:20 AM) goliath, just to clarify your situation - do you get that 'kluk' sound when you perform sudden accelerations or braking? Does the sound only happen once per event, or it repetitively goes on until you get out of first and second gear? And you're not on a manual, are you? For me, the noise appears when I do light acceleration from first gear to second gear. I get that 'kluk' sound as well after a long drive. It always happens when you induce shock to the car such as sudden braking, sudden acceleration, rapid clutching and declutching, and I have no idea why. The SC tightened every nut and bolt at where the sound was coming from, and it's still there. Checkout the links below for more info. A quick question for those who wash their own car; what brand do you recommend for the car shampoo?

QUOTE(olman @ Mar 27 2012, 08:42 PM) That's good. Tempting to get one now. QUOTE(:zeus: @ Mar 27 2012, 11:13 PM) How do we explain to the SC to buy off and change the 3 stuffs under warranty? I still dubious on how to make SC understands my problems.. Take them for a drive and tell them to observe the sound. |

Managed to get the 'kluk kluk kluk' noise fixed. But now, there's annoying plastic friction noise coming out from the left side of the front door panel around the window panel.

Damn... The more I look at Ivory white, the more I like it. But who am I kidding when I seldom wash my car. And hence, I chose Medallion Grey.
Anybody tried Perodua's body paint spray service (at USJ 1)? Any good? QUOTE(audy @ Apr 7 2012, 12:50 PM) Just did my 1k service at the SC today. Total paid was RM141.25 for oil filter, semi sync engine oil, gasket and AT oil. Told the counter upfront I didn't want unnecessary items to be added in, wasn't sure if AT oil needs to be changed so just let them change. it's common to change the AT oil on the first service. |
