i have an asus transformer tf101, a nexus and this tab 7.7..
wife had a sgs2 (but stolen)
so when she needed to buy a new phone, she finally settled on the nexus as she needed one NOW.. yesterday would have been fine...
saw the tab and considered the top up and that tilted me to getting 'scoff'.. a man bag...
cos the 7.7 is my all in one now..
dont even touch the asus anymore.. cept for the ics update...

its not so much getting the tab rather than getting the man bag that i had to get over.. LOL

Just return from UK and SG. Proud owner of Galaxy 7.7, cheapest I can find from UK was £425=RM2040, then in Changi airport cheapest is $840. Got mine from someone in hardwarezone for $740 = <RM1800. Yes it is without warranty as it is AP but I'm happy with what I paid. Now hunting for a case before I return to UK.

Yes, there is wifi version only. Around 1400 to 1600 not so sure though. go buy one!!

yes, the Note fit just nice in my office pant @work and bermuda @leisure. Can't really fit the Tab 7.7 in either of it - so a definitely no no as my phone. Will be getting it purely as tablet.

zzz.... why AP? hopefully Samsung will bring in the wifi only version at cheaper price. Or I may just grab one from Singapore if Samsung Singapore has it.

EDIT: Just checked Singapore pricing - it is only SGD754 (about 1,850) now and the prices are dropping like fry. Heard the price will drop further when Ipad 3 is out. So hang on to my wallet at the moment and wait for it to drop to SGD600.

Some questions to those lucky ones who has Tab 7.7 in their hands:

With a connector like below, can the Tab:
1. connect to an external hard disk? The hard disk is self powered - 500GB.
2. If the 500GB HDD capacity can be recognised by the Tab, can files from SD Card be copied directly to the external hard disk when both are connected at the same time to the connector?

Your hd must be powered to enable detection
It must be in fat32 format

thanks, benny, for the confirmation. How about the HDD size, any limitation that it cannot exceed certain size? It might be the dream setup for me for a DSLR storage backup.

I wish my Note have such connector and can do that but using OTG cable, can only read thumb drive up to 32GB in FAT32. I tried to plug in my powered 120GB external hdd in FAT32 format but Note can't detect it. Of course can use the NTFS hack but quite troublesome and i scare it might corrupt the files during transfer.

Anyone bought the Original Car Charger for the Tab 7.7" ?
