I actually posted on the previous thread, on my 1st gen galaxy tab, oso got scratch. I am not sure if it's from keys, my mrs. jewelry or what since she dump the tab into her bag last time. But when it came to me after she got note, I found a very very very fine line of scratch. Tried to polish it and it's still there. Corning Gorilla Glass is not 100% scratch proof, just it's almost scratch proof. I belif the 7.7 is indeed Gorilla as the surface is exactly like note and the 1st gen galaxy tab. But it's not bullet proof. Best is get a sp for it if ur a rough user or dump it into a bag like my wifey.

Quite sorry to hear u got a crack or scratch but mebe puttin on a sp might help. Or u could try ur luck wif sme.

What custom rom for ?
Newbie question first time using android.. does it same with root ?

Erm from what I know u dun need to root to flash any custom rom, but to customise ur os then only u need root. Actually root is like having full access to ur pc, normally we have administrator, user, access for ur pc, if u got administrator u can basically delete everything and ur pc won't boot anymore. Root is similiar to that.

Custom rom usually have diff version, diff apps, diff functions. Some really cutdown on the bloatware while some have special function like beta os from upcoming release or leaked version.

B4 u flash recommended to root so u can backup everything and if anything happen u can restore it to original state.

Finally back to malaysia and cant wait to open my parcel    hand carry back some cases n screen protector back. ROCK quick hot item n expensive then others. My baggage over weight  kena fine

yo man...found the problem rdy...i think... the battery s really drained up...after the hard reset,....press down buton... hold.. den power buton briefly...den plugin to cable....walaaa....start charging redy liao....

Can add me to owner list...well, i am not the owner....more like technical support....i bought one for my wife on Sunday....actually i wanted to wait for Ipad3...but wife kennot tahan oready....furthermore, she needs to copy files here and there...Ipad will sucks max with the ridiculous itunes crap.....furthermore, 7.7 is way more sexy, lighter and just the right size for wife.

Oh well, at least the 7.7 is promised Ice Cream Sandwich. Maybe i buy Ipad3 for myself next time....

The good thing, i can transfer my Android paid apps bought on my SGS2 to the Galaxy Tab FOC......Does apple allows same app to goes to multiple device???
