What use is a phone if you can't hear properly the phone calls, no matter how good are the other stuff. May be I should just stick with N8.

Compared to my N8, yes the N9 is soft. The speaker output is actually capable of more loud sounds when ringing set to max, it's really loud but sound not good, start breaking. Unfortunately, when playing back vids, music or doing map navigation, it's max is soft making it hard to hear if have any environmental noise. The earpiece volume is soft but so far still can hear even in coffee shop. Maybe it's coz when I answer call I plug my other ear so I can hear better. laugh.gif

It's not bad enough to be unusable. It may also be improved by firmware in future.

its interesting to know some of you really know the inside out of a specific phone..

what i do know is..N9 is getting there after PR1.2..the latest firmware really bring this phone up to par for mobile users..

all I know..from a user point of view..Nokia shouldn't have released N9 before PR1.2

It's still usable, also usable using Nokia Drive, unless your car's NVH and soundproofing is really bad.

Many thanks. That seem loud enough. But I don't listen to music and suppose that's how loud the navigation sounded?

Now if only there is a way to know how loud does the phone call earpiece sounded.

Thanks again.

N8 speaker is at the back, if you turn it around, it will sound much louder, but if covered, it can be quite soft or very soft.

Navigation loud enough in car, unless you're head-banging with your car's radio

Any developer here can create a KL traffic camera app like this one? There's already a MeeGo one for SG but none for KL.

hahaha...ok2 i got the clue now. launch the new model hp than abandon it. so crazy. so we bought N9 just based on trust the nokia brand or already nokia fanboy. do some research myself before buying. not influence to any advertisement. very true....

Put it this way, N9 was last year high end model. This year it's Lumia 800/900. End of story smile.gif
