Only MS Office and pdf reader, no editor.

Not even paid? That means the N9 is an all-play and can't-do-proper-work phone.

I suppose this N9 also uses Nokia Suite to do sync/backup/restore with computer?

And can you use Window Explorer to transfer files between phone and computer? In other word, Window Explorer can show N9 as just another HDD?

1. Take a photo with colleague, colleague says: send the photo to my phone.
HABIS --> GONE --> can't send over bluetooth
OK, connect to PC --> HABIS --> GONE --> Must install ZUNE first and ZUNE requires Windows XP SP3 or newer Windows version.
Want to install Zune? Make sure got internet connection "lah"
So... what if she's outside having dinner with relatives, use her phone take photo? Later cannot send to anyone. How stupid is that?
I can't believe this is what Microsoft did. I mean,... meh? Microsoft? That's so NOT Microsoft.
You are talking about N9 or Lumia 800? Can't you just send the photo as an email attachment directly out from the phone? Or can't you just use phone Bluetooth to connect to PC and transfer the photo?

Sorry for asking because coming from Symbian, this is rather unbelievable.

So to recap. With N9,
1. you can have use Window Explorer to select file/copy/cut/paste to your pc?
2. You can use Bluetooth to send files to other bluetooth?
3. Does N9 has Swype?

But you can't do the above with Lumia 800.

The closest to a pocket computer now is an Android phone. You can do almost anything on it that you can do on a PC. The main requirement is a desktop web browser (like Firefox) with flashplayer and MS Office editor. Our N9 is getting to that level soon. WP7 will never make it to the club. It will forever be a "not-so-smart" PHONE.
*
One of the thing holding me back from N9 is the lack of a Office document editor. So you sure about this?

I have slowly moving away from Lumia 800 because you can't use Window Explorer to copy&paste file and transfer between phone and PC.

I thought EDOF cameras are only used by Nokia? Actually it's not bad at all. I've recommended 2 colleagues to get Nokia 701 & my sis to get Nokia E6, all with EDOF cameras. Surprisingly they all loved the camera & I've seen the pics they've taken. EDOF also takes idiot-proof videos since everything is clear & in focus all the time. No focus hunting. Of course u can't do macro shots but none of them are complaining at all.
*
I was actually thinking of the 701 because I am familiar with Belle but EDOF is precisely the reason why I dropped the idea. I take a lot of photo of document and what is the use if the text comes out all blur?

When I last checked, the Lumia800 is selling cheaper than the N9. So what's the latest price for N9 Ori set?

This review says the N9 earpiece sound is very low. Ditto the loudspeaker when using navigation. At full volume, it is only as loud as a N8 at 50% volume. Can you people confirm that?

earpiece very low? you must be kidding me...maximum volume is louder than my N8

loudspeaker...yes its low, not very, moderate.
Yes, I was asking about the sound volume of 2 different thing. Earpiece for phone calls and loudspeaker for navigation.

So you are saying, the earpiece sound is loud or louder than the N8 during phone calls. But the loudspeaker sound volume for handfree navigation is low. Right?

What use is a phone if you can't hear properly the phone calls, no matter how good are the other stuff. May be I should just stick with N8.

Here the loudspeaker test

Many thanks. That seem loud enough. But I don't listen to music and suppose that's how loud the navigation sounded?

Now if only there is a way to know how loud does the phone call earpiece sounded.

Thanks again.

Anyway, As Kenny mentioned, it's 16GB.
RM1,499 is hard to sell especially one can get AP Unit.
Impossible to sell. I saw Court selling for RM1500 so why take risk?

Earpiece headphone. Does it have to be some special earpiece to take advantage of the NFC's touch & connect?

Charging. I suppose it uses the standard micro USB of any other Nokia phone?

You need an NFC headphone like the Nokia BH-505.

Charging is through standard micro-USB. You can use any Nokia car charger.

May I ask how much is the BH505 or one of those cheaper NFC earpiece because I don't need stereo? I usually use cheap <RM100 earpiece that does the job just fine.

yea signal are strong. email auto internal are off. I sync myself. The phone just turn off 5 minutes ago

I find disabling email auto sync significantly prolong the battery

Did you use the phone to make calls and other stuff?

BTW, I asked once but forgot. Does the N9 has built-in Mandarin language option and have Mandarin handwriting input like the N8?
