To any sifu.

Is it possible to add another storey on top of my existing single storey house.

If possible, around how much the cost with my existing house built-up of 1,800 sf.

And normally local council will approve?

Yes it is possible. I'm planning to do renovation on my single storey house and my architect told me now gov had allowed single storey house to be renovated into fully double-storey property (prev was only 1/3 allowed on top storey). I considered it but it was way out of my budget. My contractor said for 1 & 1/3 storey at least it will cost RM250k.

for your information , i still offer my service (help others) giving online consultation. My consultation start from quotation till end. I also can give recommendation trusted contractor (if owner want) for the project. For online consultation owner can WhatApp me and send photo so that i can advised. This is to avoid owner being cheated or to avoid any problem in future. Remember, your reno is your investment.

Tips:

I hv seen a lot of reno, contractor making mistake is doing the slab...emm...what a waste...

That's is good. Keep it up. And do post some DIY project here.

That is not much DIY here. Mostly ppl rely on contractor.

GST already here. DIY can help some saving.
