So, after I called for technicians and get them here and explain everything to them. Roughly what kind of actions will they take? Change my old cable into a new one?

Btw, will the technician charge for anything? Anything?

first they will make sure what is the main problem, let say the problem is from cabinet TM to DP box, this case they can't change to another cable if the cable full of users,
if from Dpbox to your home, this call as drop cable,
and maybe this can change if the problem come from that,

technie from TM will not charge u, this is thier job,and TM already paid for them tongue.gif

but if u want to give a cup of coffee ,it's up to you.. brows.gif

Oh I see. I'm pretty sure it's from the DP box to my house.

Hurray for they won't charge me anything.

And, I'll save my "duit kopi" rather than giving them some sad.gif !

Recently, I have been facing frequent disconnections. The ADSL-Act light gone off and on again in few seconds. This is pissing me off when I'm downloading/playing dota. Got any solution any guys? Anyway, I ve called Streamyx to complain about this.

Your image shows that you look fine, come on read the guide on the first page. Complaining's the only thing you can do.
Strange how streamyx disconnects frequently although the line quality is good.

LOL, that may look normal to you. But it isn't for me.

By the way DT8, what were their responses and what actions they took?

The operator taught me to set those LAN connetion (properties) thingy which is useless. And then, I spoke frankly to her about my situation and she said she would make a report, and in 2-3 working days, the technician will call me to re-confirm about my problem. but today it looks fine, 3hours 15mins since it started without DC. smile.gif its a good thing anyway.

Hmm, good for you. But my problem still exists. Frequent DC is killing me.

No DotA in Bs3 is a sad thing.

And there was a heavy rain yesterday, and today, I kept on getting DC-ed and this is pissing me off.

Take a look at my SNR Margin:

CODE

SN Margin (AKA Signal to Noise Margin or Signal to Noise Ratio)
Relative strength of the DSL signal to Noise ratio. 6dB is the lowest dB manufactures specify for modem to be able to synch. In some instances interleaving* can help raise the noise margin to an acceptable level. The higher the number the better for this measurement.
> 6dB or below is bad and will experience no synch or intermittent synch problems
> 7dB-10dB is fair but does not leave much room for variances in conditions
> 11dB-20dB is good with no synch problems
> 20dB-28dB is excellent
> 29dB or above is outstanding

Line Attenuation
Measure of how much the signal has degraded between the DSLAM and the modem. Maximum signal loss recommendation is usually about 60dB. The lower the dB the better for this measurement.
> 20dB and below is outstanding
> 20dB-30dB is excellent
> 30dB-40dB is very good
> 40dB-50dB is good
> 50dB-60dB is poor and may experience connectivity issues
> 60dB or above is bad and will experience connectivity issues

Woops! I called the Streamyx Customer Service and the operator said she'll make a report for me. And the technicians will come to my house to fix the problem in 2-3 working days. Same as DT8.

By the way, DT8, did the technicians take any actions yet?

And I think pixma won't dc with such good specs of modem and line.
