just drive in, as long as your road tax is valid then Ok liao. make sure you got touch n go card with money.

when u pass the singkapo immigration, tell them u got no autopass card. immediately after u pass immigration then park at the side and go buy the autopass card. they will just go and look at your road tax disc before issuing the card.

if u coming in on weekday, u will need to pay $20 per day (+$5 if u go through any ERP gantry). all this $$ is paid upon exit from singapore through your autopass card so while you are here u need to reload at 7-11.

Deo, about the ERP bit, do Malaysian cars need to get the IU as well as the Autopass card? Otherwise, how do they know you gone through a gantry?

IU machine is optional. You could either buy or rent. If not then pay flat rate of SGD$5 per day. They have camera at each gantry point to capture your vehicle number, the same way they capture those Sg car which didn't pay.

Why not? Same auto pass card can't be use for different car.

To shorten the waiting time, one should bring the car road tax slip. So the officer no need go out and see your car road tax disc.

The Answer is NO, A BIG NO NO... Autopass serves as a IC for your car when you were in Singapore, it records the car's entry time and exit time.
That is why it is a requirement when you enter Singapore. Each Autopass have your car number plate stored in it. Not only that, it also keeps your Msia road tax information.
If you use another car's auto pass, when you pass the immigration, it wil record the number plate of the car in the autopass has been granted entry.
So it also means that your car is a illegal immigrant in Singapore since you did not register the entry of this vehicle.

put it a simple way, can i take your passport and cross the immigration? The answer is No right?

Just to add, all foreign vehicles are entitled 10 VEP (Vehicle entry permit, $20 daily) free days and if you drive in after 5PM on weekdays, no VEP is required.

Hi guys, would like to ask several questions.

1) If drive to SG using Malaysia car(MY plate number), need to pay exactly how much going to SG? What about coming out from SG? Do I have to pay again? What type of card do I need to use to pay? EZ Link?

2) If become PR, I will contribute 20% CPF. Can I withdraw my CPF at age 35? Do I need to give up my PR citizenship in order to do that? Or is there any other way to withdraw ALL my CPF at age 30+?

Thanks in advance.

1. you can check all the info from the link that have been provided, a few post above. Or you could go here --> http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/699515

2. You can't withdraw ca$h from your cpf before 55. Even then, you couldn't withdraw all the amount if i remember correctly, PR or no PR. The only way ? Give up your Malaysia citizen, take Aussie or UK or other country citizenship.

till 2am the next weekday.
they actually embedded your car registration details into the autopass card. you need it to enter/exit Sg, no matter u use erp or not.

what NO. Different auto pass card is use for different car, meaning each car will have it's own auto pass. So, YES, different auto pass is use for different car. Pls get your facts right.

Or get an East Malaysian IC. Only West Malaysians are restricted by CPF.

I am one of those that travel to KL almost weekly during the weekends. I normally return by taking Nice Executive Coach around midnight on Sunday arriving around 5.30 in Singapore, stopping at Mackenzie Road (near Little India MRT). From there I take the first 980 bus which takes me directly back to Sembawang where I stay and work. However in June, Nice Coach is shifting to The Plaza on Beach Road, which is much further down and there is no direct bus.

Does anyone here knows which bus companies that use the Causeway and stops somewhere around Marsiling or Woodlands, from there its only a short distance to Sembawang. From my search online, Konsortium have a midnight bus that uses the Causeway. Has anyone used this before and where does the bus stop after immigration in Singapore?

Thanking all in advance.

What percentage of drivers (any driver, not just ferrari) know the limits of their cars anyway? 5%? 10%? I see people on highway, heavy rain also speed at 110km/h like a boss, how many of these drivers know just how much traction your tyres lose in the wet?
